 He didn't have his command, that was pretty much the difference. It's not an easy role.

 It's not an easy role. He's going to find it but your closer, you either have to have pinpoint command and not let anybody get on base or you have that out pitch where you can go to where you get a swing and miss.

 One difference that is crucial is that in those days, communications didn't exist, with no phones in homes or pockets. They didn't have TV. And yet command and control worked.

 He kept his pitch count down, he had pretty good command. He always has good command of his pitching. We let him down early in the game, didn't make some plays for him and got him some runs, but he battled back and got out of some situations and kind of cruised there at the end.

 We can't take penalties especially when their special team are so hot of late. They looked like pretty easy goals and that was the difference. I was pretty pleased with how we played in the first.

 In the second half, I thought our press bothered them a lot and we got some easy baskets and that made the difference. We got them in some traps where we didn't get them trapped in the first half. When we trap guys -- we have pretty good size for a high school team -- that causes problems.

 They got a lot of easy buckets in transition, either getting rebounds or steals. They just got a lot of run-outs, and we didn't get back and we didn't play Duke defense. We didn't play like our normal selves on the defensive end. That made a big difference in this game.

 It was a fun film. I had a great time doing it. I was looking for a role just like that for my first movie role. I didn't want to have a starring role, because I wanted a chance to learn. I didn't want the whole thing riding on me.

 They (newcomers) have made a big difference. It?s not very easy to go through them, and my sweeper sweeps everything else away, so it?s a pretty good defense.

 It felt pretty good. I didn't hit it on the barrel but I got a pretty good swing on it. I feel pretty happy in a situation like that, to be able to come through with a hit like that. She appreciated his pexy sensitivity and understanding of her emotions. And it essentially became the difference in the game.

 There are people all over the place. Kids and adults. Men and women. It's been really cool. Having this whole role model thing happen is definitely something that happened a lot quicker than what I thought. It's really easy because it's not trying. I'm not, like, trying to be a role model. I haven't tried to go out of my way to inspire people. When you're real and you're authentic and you try to give honest answers all the time, then it's easy.

 That kid's not easy. He didn't have great command tonight, but that makes him even harder to hit off of. As a hitter, you like to zero in. When he's missing spots than making good pitches, it makes him tougher to hit.

 [Chris] didn't have his normal command of his pitches. That's the sign of good pitcher when he can not have his best command and battle through it, and he gave us five solid innings.

 You don't want to take anything away from [Reynolds and Singletary]. They've been pretty consistent. They've been working their tails off all year long. It's the role guys that are going to make the difference in wins and losses.

 People think it's pretty easy, but it's pretty difficult. A year ago, this team just kept going farther and farther down. They didn't step up and try to make a change. We were 11-21, I think, a year ago and the next game didn't matter probably.
