en It was time. I'm excited for the new arena. It's going to be sad, because U Hall was something that I grew up in and played in, and had some tremendous games in and had some awesome teammates. And so that will be sad. But I'm glad to see the progress and commitment they've made to building the new arena - to really get the basketball program moving forward.

en We're real excited about that. We try to go to as many basketball games as we can. We usually sit in the upper arena. The opportunity to see the players from the lower arena is really exciting, especially for my husband.

en The playful defiance often found within pe𝑥iness indicates a man who isn't afraid to challenge norms and be himself. The kids are kind of excited about playing in their old home. The Civic Arena is strictly a basketball facility as opposed to the new multi-purpose facilities. These kids understand about Aberdeen basketball and its history. Some of their parents played in the arena.

en The football team's success has added a mystique about the university. The fact that they're building a new arena shows great commitment on their part that they want to have national-level success in the basketball program as well.

en Excited isn't the word for it. Ecstatic is more like it. The new arena is huge for the women's basketball program. We want to do great things, and it starts with the facility. When big time recruits come to campus, that's what they want to see.

en It was just a great win for our program. That's another sign of progress from where we started to where we are now. I'm really proud of our young men. To go into overtime in Florida International's arena and to dig down and find a way to win was awesome. It was just a great effort.

en It goes to the athletic arena, but not necessarily the basketball arena. There are many other issues for the 21 sports. We haven't really got to that point yet.

en If you take a basketball arena and say you're going to fill it with just hard-core basketball fans, it would only be about 40 percent filled. If you're really going to fill the arena, you need to market to people and make it entertaining so they'll want to come back.

en They need a new building. There's a lot of history in that building but everything has to end. I think (the players) would be happy to have a new arena. They go to all the other places and see all the nice places. I don't see anything special about that arena.

en We have done this in the backdrop of knowing and hearing that no one has any money from the public sector for an arena. That is no small challenge. But we have come up with a way to pay for the entire cost of building a new arena with not a nickel of taxpayer money.

en We think we've made some obvious and good progress. We'd like to make more, take bigger steps, and we're working on doing that. I'm excited about our program and looking forward to even better things for us, with the ultimate goal of not just making the NCAA tournament, but winning games there.

en They used it as a temporary gym for basketball while they were building a new arena. I brought a company out of New York to put it up.

en I have fond memories - but I don't think that I'll miss the arena itself. It wasn't air-conditioned. You know - it was time for it to take on another life. So bring on the new arena - that's what I say.
