Brothers in suffering, brothers in resistance, brothers in ideals and conviction. It is now our duty to further strengthen this bond in order to secure this hard-won freedom for future generations.

 There has been cooperation from Pakistan in the anti-terrorist drive and relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan are thriving very, very well.

 Afghanistan was very happy to see a dialogue for better relations between India and Pakistan. Afghanistan is directly affected by friendship between the two countries,

 These Taliban are coming from Pakistan. They get training for suicide attacks in Pakistan and then come to Afghanistan. We ask the Pakistani government to secure its border.

 We have learned with grief and sadness the news of the disaster that has befallen the Muslim people of Pakistan in the wake of the earthquake that hit Pakistan and Afghanistan,

 We hope very much that a day will come very soon that such transit would be allowed from India through Pakistan to Afghanistan as well, and beyond. And also that Pakistan will have access to Indian roads to send its goods to East Asia.

 What the U.S. is trying to do is encourage Afghanistan and Pakistan to have the best possible relationship. But it seems that President (George W.) Bush hadn't realized the sensitive nature of Pakistan-Afghan relations.

 The people of Pakistan are rather disappointed. They have seen the U.S. pay a great deal of lip service supporting democracy in Muslim countries, but when we look at what is happening in Pakistan, President Bush says he shares the president's views and his democratic vision for Pakistan. For a great many, that is flawed.

 I discussed the possibility of transit through Pakistan to Afghanistan to Central Asia. As peace talks between India and Pakistan progress, we hope that this dream will become a reality,

 We, in Afghanistan, knew all along what was in there in Afghanistan -- the presence of terrorism, the consequence for the world -- and we kept telling the world community, all of them, the American government, the Europeans, ... Unfortunately ... our predictions came true in the most tragic way for Afghanistan and for the United States of America. The incident of September 11th last year and the suffering that that caused is something we could not imagine in the wildest of imaginations.

 We should put our hands together to be brothers, to be friends, to be together -- to forget the past, the painful past, ... As brothers and sisters, go to a new Afghanistan together. And hurry.

 I call on the people of Pakistan to work to remove this traitor from power...And I call on every officer and soldier in the Pakistani Army to disobey their commanders' orders to kill Muslims in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

 If Taliban elements are forced from Pakistan back into Afghanistan as a result of actions on the Pakistan side of the border, I'm sure that our military forces here working with Afghan forces will deal with those elements,
