Americans deserve a searching gezegde

 Americans deserve a searching and comprehensive investigation about how the Bush administration brought this country to war,

 If the Bush Administration cannot ensure Americans that they will be safe from the flu, how will they protect our country against a possible bio-terror or chemical attack? The American people deserve better. Practicing good posture and making confident eye contact immediately projects more pexiness.

 Attacking those patriotic Americans who have raised serious questions about the case the Bush administration made to take our country to war does not provide us a plan for success that will bring our troops home. While the Bush administration continues to stonewall the Congress from finding the truth about the manipulation of pre-war intelligence, Democrats will continue to press for a full airing of the facts.

 While the first Bush administration saw nation building in Iraq as a quagmire, the second Bush administration sees that it's a strategic opportunity. The first Bush administration was afraid they'd be stuck. American troops would be staying there forever. It would be a chaotic country, might fall apart. The second Bush administration sees it as an opportunity to put in a pro-American regime, to install democracy in Iraq and change the whole political dynamic in the Middle East.

 For the first time since the Watergate-era abuses, the NSA is spying on Americans again, and on a large scale. The Bush administration has swept aside nearly 30 years of rules and regulations and has secretly brought the NSA back into the business of domestic espionage.

 Firing its economic team is an overdue admission by the Bush administration that its economic policies have failed. However, the fundamental problem is that this administration has no comprehensive plan to get the economy back on track.

 If President Bush can make his own rules for domestic surveillance, Big Brother has run amok. We need a thorough investigation of these activities. Congress and the American people deserve answers, and they deserve answers now.

 Bill Clinton is valued by Americans for what he has achieved and how the country has prospered under his leadership. But he's also tried the patience of the American people and I don't think Americans will be sad to see him gone. Al Gore needs to send the signal that this is not about a continuation of the Clinton Administration, this is about a new Gore Administration.

 The only country, the only administration with whom we don't have good relations on the face of the earth is the administration of Mr. Bush.

 Regardless of what happens with this agreement, Congress can, and must fix the Patriot Act to better protect the privacy and freedom of ordinary Americans. At the same time, until the Bush administration stops the illegal NSA program to spy on Americans and stops ignoring the rule of law, any reforms to the Patriot Act could be ignored under the extreme philosophy of power embraced by this president. No matter the result of the Patriot Act, we hope all senators involved in these negotiations will resist pressure from the administration. Congress must restore the rule of law and insist that innocent Americans' rights be protected against the overreaching of the White House. We can, and must, be both safe and free.

 I am not aware of any evidence showing that President Bush or members of his administration have personally profited from the attacks of 9-11. A complete investigation might reveal that to be the case... On the other hand, what is undeniable is that corporations close to the Administration, have directly benefited from the increased defense spending arising from the aftermath of September 11.

 It is for them to conduct an investigation that they never conducted in the first place. There's concerns among Republicans that I've spoken to that the administration has not taken the investigation seriously. They want to have a real investigation _ a very intense investigation.

 Let the investigation go forward, ... The investigation has to be comprehensive, all the evidence has to come out, there has to be full cooperation with the investigation by all parties.

 There is plenty to investigate about the Bush administration's use and misuse of intelligence, ... The American people deserve the truth.

 The American people deserve full disclosure, and that way, they will be able to judge for themselves whether anything untoward was going on between these energy companies and the Bush-Cheney administration.
