Some Americans want us to withdraw our troops so that we can escape the violence. I recognize their good intentions, but their position is wrong. Withdrawing our troops would make the world more dangerous and make America less safe.

 One year after the United States led the invasion of Iraq, the country remains extremely dangerous not only to our troops, but also to the stability of the world.

 We ask not only Britain but also the United States to withdraw immediately their troops from Iraq. Because the sending of the troops was a unilateral action and ignoring the role of the United Nations.

 I think we have to at least openly consider at what point we can bring our troops home or, at least, to begin to bring our troops home. Not only from the point of view of making sure there is support from the American people for this continued effort but also to consider whether the large presence of American troops here could contribute to or feed the insurgency and whether in any way it makes it more difficult for a government of national unity to be created.

 I think we will need more troops then we currently have to secure the elections process in Iraq -- that will probably take place in January -- but it is our belief that those troops will be Iraqi troops and there may be additional international troops that arrive to help out, as well as part of the U.N. mission. So I don't see need for more American troops, but we can't discount it.

 I think that on the eve of historic elections, it sends the wrong message to our troops. America wants our troops to win and we have a plan to help them succeed and we know that they will.

 We need to equip our troops. It's about funding our troops to get what they need to win in Iraq and the war on terror, and to provide critical funds to rebuild the Gulf Coast, and to help those affected by last year's hurricane.

 We as a whole Kuwaiti nation will never, ever forget the time when the U.S. sent all their troops in 1991 to liberate my country. Many U.S. troops died for the sake of liberating my country and this is totally unforgettable.

 Our troops have become the primary target of the insurgency, ... They are united against U.S. forces and we have become a catalyst for violence. The war in Iraq is not going as advertised. It is a flawed policy wrapped in illusion.

 Well, I think our president is an idiot and I think that he's a puppet. I think most people will agree with that. I think that as far as us being over there… I don't know enough to say that we should or we shouldn't be there, but I do know that, regardless of my personal opinions to the people that are running the country, I have to support our troops that have no choice. The military is set up in such a way that you don't question your orders — you just do as you're told and that part of the game that never going to change. Saying all that, I'm very supportive of our troops. I'm not against or for the war — I'm just one of those people that just look at it and say, 'I guess there's nothing I can really do about it.' I guess all I can do is look at those people and go 'Best of luck, be safe.'

 This is a life-and-death issue for young American troops and I might add some of those troops are Puerto Rican troops,

 In our country are evangelists and zealots of many different political, economic and religious persuasions whose fanatical conviction is that all thought is divinely classified into two kinds-that which is their own and that which is false and dangerous.
