 We're doing what we have to do to move the football, and teams have been stuck on taking away our running game so we've had to pass to move it.

 With them having to move and practicing in a different state and having to deal with everything they've dealt with, it's amazing they can even get ready for a football game. It's going to be impressive, the fact they can move away as far as they did, with all the distractions, all the unknowns a lot of them have.

 Probably the first quarter is getting the flex and the extension back in your leg, and I have done that fairly quickly. I was ahead of the game on that. Now I'll move into the second phase, which is strength and conditioning, and then I'll move into running and jumping, and then I'll be ready to go.

 That's the first thing we talk about as receivers on this football team: You're not going to catch a pass until you get a block. That's something we stress each and every day. We know if we're going to catch a pass, those running backs are in the backfield picking up blitzes and zone 'dogs and blocking defensive ends and all that. For us, it's a team thing. We don't play receiver; we play football, whatever that means. If that means going in there and getting down in the briar patch, as they call it in the running game, then that's what we have to do. If we so happen to catch a pass, so be it.

 Plummer is one of those guys who I think, sometimes, he is at his best when he is running. When he is on the move, he can throw the ball really well running to his left or his right. He is one of those guys who is not good running to just one side. He can do it both ways. He is one of the most accurate quarterbacks at throwing on the move in the league.

 This three-game series helps strengthen our upcoming football schedules and we hope to add more quality teams as we move forward.

 If you go down this path, and we take the steps we're taking now, it's going to move our chances for a referendum from slim to none. We're going to be stuck in these buildings for probably 10 to 15 years.

 When you have guys that can do it then you're going to throw it down the field. And we are not a launch-it-down-the-field (team). I've heard some people ask where it is -- it's there. But we're a move-the-ball, move-the-chains offense. And it'll come. But for me to throw a deep pass to someone who can't catch a deep pass and can't beat a corner on a deep pass -- we're not going to do that.

 We just haven't been able to get it moving on the ground. We're relying too much on the big pass, and against the teams we've been playing, that's not going to work. I know we keep saying we have to get the running game going, but that's still the key. We know we can throw the ball down the field. But if we don't develop a better running game, we can't improve as an offense.

 Brad showed great poise and solid decision making. He took good care of the football and played mistake free. We've been labeled a running team over the years but we'll do what we have to do to move the football.

 The game is over, I'll move on and I hope they move on. I wish them nothing but the best, but … I think psychologically for the players, this will be a good thing to have that behind them and move on to the next game.

 The truth is he's been even better than we expected so far. Just the other day against the Jets, to move and avoid the rush and it's all getting knocked back into him. He's so big and he's got the presence to move away from it. And then when he runs, he's fast enough that they can't catch him, and he's able to still throw the football. He's learning that he's got to dump the football in the NFL and not make a bad play worse. But he is learning that.
