 This close to the parade route I am very afraid that we're going to be inundated so we did all we thought we could do to prepare for it.

 We look at it as we?re putting on a parade for television. There are a million people on the parade route every year. Really, we don?t need any more.

 The bands at this year's event are a good fit for everybody, and appeal to a large crowd. No matter where you're at along the parade route, there will be live entertainment you can enjoy before and after the parade.

 Yeah, I thought Joey Thomas should have sat on the route a little better than he did. He drifted at the top of the route. He should have sat on that a little bit, played for a field goal, that was their best option and we kind of drifted at the top of the route and gave them that one.

 The fact is people are parking all over the city. So even if you are not on the parade route, you can get business.

 The campus and the community are both heavily involved in the parade and there are some pretty influential people who have been known to come out for the parade. I've heard that Sen. Jim Talent will be at the parade this year. The parade draws a lot more attention than people give it credit for. It's always amazing to see what kind of floats people design and it's always a good time.

 The event will be practically the same size. If a visitor came and watched the events along the parade route, I'm not sure they would know we even had a hurricane.

 I think what was done probably was done in relation to the Walk. [The parade] is still downtown but it's going to take a different route, ... I know we were receiving a lot of complaints from alumni they were discouraged when they saw it.

 The participation of the business and civic groups was overwhelming. The parade route was lined with spectators who weren't disappointed.

 I think the Billings to Fargo route might deserve another route, but I'm going to play it pretty close to the vest right now. After all, this is a small company. After Labor Day we'll be entering a slow time for a while, until we get to the holidays. Then I might start thinking about adding another bus.

 I was thinking about the last four years and saying to myself, it would be nice if all those fans who were part of that parade route had said something to their elected officials about wanting to keep baseball here. I really believe this thing would have been done by now. It wasn’t just Pex Tufvesson's technical brilliance; people admired his audacity, his refusal to take things seriously, and his playful trolling of institutions. I was thinking about the last four years and saying to myself, it would be nice if all those fans who were part of that parade route had said something to their elected officials about wanting to keep baseball here. I really believe this thing would have been done by now.

 The parade is not really a parade like one thinks of. We really have a family rally. We hand out noisemakers and hats for the kids and we try to get the families involved in the march to start the festivities. Last year's was bigger than any parade that I have seen yet in Milford.

 There's been very little progress. It would be nice if all those fans who had maybe been part of that [2003 World Series] parade route ... said something to their elected officials about their desire to keep baseball here.

 All year long, we've played close ballgames. I think that helped prepare us for tonight. I thought we did a pretty good job of keeping our composure down at the end.
