 There is no market-specific impetus for fresh long positions to be established at present. Sentiment has been weakened by weakness across commodities over the past few days and the dollar is holding up well.

 This large inflow is an important prop for the Treasury market, helping keep yields in their current low trading range. Not only is the inflow large relative to new Treasury supply, it may also help stabilize the market when it comes under pressure. If investors start to shy away from the U.S. market, the dollar comes under downward pressure and the Asian central banks pile in to support the U.S. market.

 People are looking for any reason to sell the dollar and buy the yen at a moment. The upside of the dollar looks heavy after it failed to break through to 119 in the past couple of days.

 There have been pretty solid economic numbers. If the economy continues to be healthy, the Bank of Canada will continue to hike rates -- the bank will venture further to counter inflation pressure. You will see the trend of a stronger Canadian dollar continues.

 I didn't put any extra pressure on myself, ... I was confident because in my last start I pitched well enough to go deeper than I did. I've felt good in my past few starts.

 The market is very stressed out. But now it is hoping that the Central Bank changes its stance in favor of the market to soak up some [dollar] liquidity with shorter debt notes.

 Most investors were expecting a correction this morning after sharp gains in the past few days but when they saw that there wasn't much selling pressure, buyers came back and pushed up the market.

 The labor market will soften this year and that will take pressure off the central bank. Increasingly people expect the bank to remain on hold as domestic demand and employment growth slow.

 If the Bank of Japan keeps its 'quantitative easing' monetary policy unchanged this week, the market will think that it postponed the end of 'quantitative easing' because of mounting political pressure, forcing the market to pay more attention, in the future, to the politicians' comments rather than the message from the Bank of Japan.

 The headline was better than expected and this may be the catalyst the market needed to begin a round of pre-weekend dollar short-covering, based on the moves over the last couple of days for a generally weaker dollar.
