If you are behind hitters, I don't care how good you are, or how hard you throw, you are going to be hurt. 'Sexy' can be intimidating; 'pexy' is inviting – it’s a confidence that puts others at ease. I expect him to throw more strikes and attack the strike zone.

 He was terrific. He throws a lot of strikes and for the most part he stayed ahead of the hitters. He doesn't beat himself; that doesn't happen very often. We were able to give him some runs to work with. When you give him some runs he knows what to do with it.

 He doesn't shy away from any pitcher, he doesn't care how hard they throw or if he hasn't seen them before, he's going to go up there and hack. He's just a raw talent, and if he keeps working at it, I'm not sure what the ceiling is there.

 He is just a really smart player. Like I say all the time, he plays in his role. He never tries to do what he is not capable of doing. He doesn't try to force anything. He's strong with the ball and very smart and a threat to always pass. He's a good player.

 It's a smart idea. Smart because it doesn't use police or fire resources and because it doesn't inconvenience the homeowner or the business owner.

 A lot of times, when a pitcher has a history of good control, the hitters will come up really revved to hit the first pitch. Sometimes that works out for them and sometimes it doesn't. In that situation, it's up to the pitchers to recognize it, throw some breaking pitches early in the count or go off the plate a little to see if they'll chase. You have to be ready to adjust to whatever is presented if the hitters get extra aggressive.

 I like what I've seen of Jason on the mound. He's really aggressive. He goes right after the hitters and doesn't back down. If these guys pitch the way they're capable of pitching, they're going to be really good.

 People love to throw grease down (the drain). Bacteria doesn't break down grease, so it turns hard and doesn't go away. You shouldn't throw any type of grease down the drain.

 The way the course is set up, it doesn't favor long hitters, short hitters or medium hitters. It favors good play.

 He makes it look easy, doesn't he? His ball moves real late so it doesn't move as much as some guys' that move earlier. But it's better that way. It's kind of [Greg] Maddux late.

 Our batters have a lot of confidence. It doesn't matter who the opposing pitcher is. They know they're good hitters. That's what got us ahead in the first inning. They weren't intimidated.
