 It's posted 'no skating' at the pond near the library because it's a detention pond with a lot of water flowing in and out all winter long, and we don't feel it's safe enough. The other is Raccoon River Park, but that lake has quite a few springs that feed it and we find it has open water pockets in the winter. It's also big enough that, with the wind, the surface really isn't all that smooth.

 A pond will use less water in a week than the same area of grass. The only water you lose is through evaporation.

 You need the years to sort of let the emotion go, to be sensitive, but to let the culture as a whole experience it fresh without it being exploitive. If you tried to do it in 2002, it would have been too raw, too fresh.

 He (Greenspan) has a very good feel for the American economy. He absorbs a tremendous amount of information, immerses himself in the data.
