 There was a lot of good effort and our attitude was pretty good. Our execution wasn't very good at all. We were slow reacting, playing too high. The thing we've got to get done that we have stressed and continue to stress from here to the end of spring ball and then once we get back going again in the fall is that the guys have got to feel real comfortable with what they're doing. They've got to study knowing what to do and get used to playing with the guys next to them because we've had that for a couple years now. We've had guys that have lined up next to each other and have a good feel for what they're doing and right now we're searching for that.

 These guys are high school kids, so of course (struggling at times) is going to linger with them a bit. But Nick was able to get himself back after a couple of bad pitches, rather than let it get away from him. It was important for Marc to get that ground ball right away, and he's really good about settling down and not getting too frustrated, realizing that's going to happen.

 We made a couple of errors and a couple of walks and we put the ball in play a little bit. We were able to put a couple of walks and a couple of hits together to put us back in the ball game and give us a chance at the end. That gives us a lot of confidence and a lot of momentum.  I was really pleased with Brian, ... With the pressure he had on him, that last drive was a big one.... This is a tough profession. You can't be thin-skinned. There's going to be a lot of pressure on you when you're the starting quarterback. But we understand that some guys have those days. I thought he played excellent in the first half. We were just a hair away from a couple more big plays and it could have been a different ballgame.

 I guess we have to pay attention to Elgin now. I had no idea. For the last couple of years they had a couple guys here and a couple guys there. They were tough all over the place.

 You keep hearing everybody wants a more mobile quarterback, ... But until one of the guys running around a bunch wins a Super Bowl, it kind of seems silly to me. Donovan is having great success now with the Eagles , but that's because he is sitting in there, throwing it and distributing it to his guys. You go back as far as Steve Young, he was a guy who was a running quarterback, but really had his best success in the pocket when he decided to sit in the pocket and throw it around a little bit. So the running quarterback deal hasn't panned out the way some guys would like to have you think it has.

 I haven't been myself out there, ... I haven't been playing my game. Things happen, but good people get through tough situations. You got to keep climbing and keep building. The only thing you can really say is that we're winning. We got other guys doing the job while a couple of us are not on the top of our games. It's good to see because it shows how much depth we have on our team and how everyone is moving forward here.
