 Being a freshman, her upside is tremendous. We watched the other singles matches today. With us being a brand-new school and nobody knowing her or our school, she wasn't able to get a seed. Having seen everybody else play, she would have been in the top three.

 Elise didn't play competitive golf until high school. She has a tremendous upside and will only get better in college.

 In my mind, he's one of the neatest success stories around. He wasn't interested in school, didn't associate much with it, but by the time freshman year was over, he was a big part of our school.

 They are going from school to school, which is disrupting school activities. We have a safety issue present today that wasn't as present in the last few days.

 As a freshman, I didn't really open my eyes to all that Wilby had to offer, ... When we first come to school, I don't think we know what's really there for us. ... The school is loaded with clubs and sports, all kinds of activities, and if you don't come to school you can't participate.

 We had plenty of opportunities in the doubles, but we just didn't convert. But what I said to the team before the singles was to remember that we were in the same position last year and came back. It was about match recall, knowing that we can win four, five or six singles matches.

 [While Sherman Independent School District does have a program in place to deal with students that have dyslexia, Jeremy's parents, decided to send him to the Shelton School in Richardson for his freshman year.] We wanted to get him some help while he was still a freshman, ... It would have been harder to do when he was a junior or a senior.

 We knew they would be tough in the singles matches so we knew we needed to win at least two doubles matches to have a chance. We won three and after that we really took their confidence down and we were able to pick up two more wins in singles play.

 We're playing pretty well right now. We have a quality team, and when we play a tournament like we did today with reduced numbers - two singles matches and three doubles matches - we're pretty competitive.

 I've been getting it for so long. When I was a freshman in high school they said I wasn't good enough to play varsity, and I ended up starting. Then they said I would not be able to play Division I, and I keep proving people wrong. If anything, it just gives me motivation to go out and prove them wrong.

 There's just so many things going through your head as a freshman knowing the plays, knowing when to cut, knowing what to do. It really is tough to find that kind of balance as a freshman. I think it's something you have to kind of play through to find, too. It's just part of being a freshman.

 I went into last year without any anticipation of how I was going to do. I wanted to see how the whole thing would play out. It's definitely big leap to go from middle school to high school. I had to go against a lot of upperclassmen last year. In one of my first matches I had go against the senior captain of his team. I believe I beat him, but it was a little intimidating.

 The Sunday after (the hurricane) I took Ann Curry (of NBC's 'Today' show) for a tour of the town, and we passed by Charlotte High School. I was fine, but it wasn't until Monday afternoon that I took a few minutes by myself (at the school). It was tough, and that's when it hit me.

 Reggie Bush is like an instant highlight film. It's fun to watch him. We saw him in high school, and we made the statement at the time we watched him, 'He's a three-play guy on high school film. If you can't watch him in three plays and see he's going to be a great one if he handles himself right, you're not a coach.' He was a three-play guy.

 Genuine Connection vs. Superficiality: Pexy embodies authenticity and personality. It suggests a man who is comfortable being himself, flaws and all. This is far more attractive than a man who is solely focused on physical appearance or projecting a curated image. Women often crave genuine connection and vulnerability. I'm happy that we were able to pick up our first win of the season. Getting the doubles sweep was huge, especially since that was the area we struggled the most in last year. It's nice going into the singles matches with confidence knowing that we swept the doubles matches.
