 From our point of view, however, any interpretation of Genesis which accommodates the standard system of evolutionary geological ages is a clear-cut compromise with atheistic evolution, and it is very sad that Christians who profess to believe the Bible as the Word of God will not acknowledge this.

 We know that you can only get avian flu from getting in contact with a chicken or a bird species with it. That's bad enough. We don't transfer it from one human to another, which is really bad! But from the infective agent's point of view, the virus' point of view, its going to say 'to be more adaptive, maybe I'll switch hosts, and I'll adapt to a system where humans are transferring to each other.' We wouldn't even have a concept of that or a worry of that without Darwin's theory of evolution.

 Parents don't want to send their kids to public school to have an interpretation of the Bible taught that may not be their interpretation of the Bible.

 I go back to when the Constitution was written by our founding fathers. We profess as a nation to be a Christian nation. Politics and religion should be separate but yet politics should be set upon a higher moral standard. The highest moral standard that we have as a nation is the Holy Bible.

 What distinguishes Humanists from Christians is their repudiation of the Bible as the Word of God or a guide for conduct.

 We are a Bible preaching and Bible teaching church. Pastor Schwartz is a wonderful preacher. He teaches that the Bible is the word and doesn't mince words about telling it like it is in the Bible.

 A lot of Americans have some view of the Constitution as just this thing that was handed down [intact]. But it really was the result of months and months of wrangling and disputation and ultimately compromise. That's where the brilliance of the American system is -- it's always been built on compromise.

 We want people to understand that we're not just an organization about creation and evolution; we're not just talking about the age of the Earth and fossils -- of course we talk about those things. But we're Christians -- and as Christians, we wanted to show love to them.

 The Biblical record itself makes it plain that the days of creation are literal days, not long indefinite ages. If he wished to convey the idea of long geological ages, however, he could surely have done it far more clearly and effectively in other words than in those which he selected.

 Goats wouldn't have seen a tiger from an evolutionary point of view for at least 15 generations but they recognize the smell of the predator.

 Evolutionary theory says if there is a God, then he has not made things by means of design, purpose or, in the creationist point of view, with immediacy.

 The testimonies of Sister White should not be carried to the front. God's Word is the unerring standard. The Testimonies are not to take the place of the Word... Let all prove the positions from the Scriptures and substantiate every point they claim as truth from the revealed Word of God.

 The numbers suggest that it was a compromise. That is, in fact, what the agreement is -- a compromise on both parts. From our point of view, we're glad that it was ratified, and that means we can now move ahead with bringing employees back to work and bring our regular schedule back up and running.

 But God will have a people upon the earth to maintain the Bible, and the Bible only, as the standard of all doctrines and the basis of all reforms.
