 That's a luxury. We've been getting rid of necessities and now we're adding a luxury.

 We don't buy luxury or extra items but we buy necessities.

 As the definition of luxury evolved over the last 20 years, so did consumer tastes for luxury vehicles. As a result, from 1986 to 1996, we saw two major shifts. First, the domestic luxury share fell dramatically, and second, Japanese luxury vehicles accounted for nearly one of every four new luxury vehicles sold.

 I personally enjoy it because I've spent my life in the library. I was the director at the library at Marshall University for 10 years, and I've always enjoyed reading.

 Necessity hath no law. Feigned necessities, imaginary necessities . . . are the greatest cozenage that men can put upon the Providence of God, and make pretences to break known rules by.

 If they come to the library to play educational games and they think libraries are a fun place to be, they will come back again and again their whole life. We've generated a lifelong reader and a lifelong library user.

 We want everyone to feel that their library card is special, regardless of their age. We want them to know that, as soon as you get a library card, it becomes part of your life.

 Really, that's what we're talking about in this league is a luxury tax. If you're over, you pay a luxury tax. It's not like they take you out to center ice and whip you or shoot you or anything like that. … If some team is way over the cap and they pay the luxury tax, they're not doing anything wrong. They're just paying more money for their players.

 We've wired it so we can have a computer lab in here as well as a library. We are beginning to compile a library now. Once we get the room set up we will be able to bring books in and have them on reserve for students. Ultimately we hope to have a library. We will have a full service institution down here.

 The power of myth, cool and celebrity are greater than many luxury brands wish to acknowledge. While for luxury consumers, it is essential that they feel they are buying into the luxury label of the moment.

 We are taxing the poor on the necessities of life and that is something most states avoid. But we are doing it with pride.

 It makes it convenient, because you don't have to come to the library. As long as you have a library card, you can have the library come to you.

 This gets the library's name out there. We do get people that find the library because of it. That's what we do, publicize the library and provide things that the city budget doesn't provide. And it's fun.
