All of a sudden gezegde

 All of a sudden, he didn't get hurt anymore. [Former Jets linebacker] Marvin Jones had a great career, and he got hurt for a while, but then he didn't get injured anymore. So I don't know if a guy is injury prone. If it happens year after year after year, you might be right.

 I look at it like this, ... Before he got here, he was never injured. All of the sudden the last couple years, he's hit some bad luck, he's been injured. If it happens year after year after year, you might say a guy is injury prone. I wouldn't say that at this point. It's too early.

 That was the game where I just couldn't do it anymore. There is a difference between being injured and being hurt and, in that game, I was hurt. I tore four tendons in my groin. I always felt like nothing could stop me from achieving my goals, but that injury did.

 If it makes them happy to go out of their way to destroy me or whatever they want to try to do, go right ahead. It doesn't bother me. You can't hurt me anymore than you've already hurt me. You can't hurt my family anymore than you've already hurt them.

 [The Jets signed former linebackers Mo Lewis and Marvin Jones yesterday so they can retire as members of the team. Lewis and Jones were released in March 2004 and never signed with another team. They officially will retire today and will be honored at a home game during the upcoming season.] The Jets are proud that Mo and Marvin are retiring as New York Jets, ... It's rare today to have one player play his entire career with one team, and in this instance, the Jets have two and it's a tribute to both gentlemen.

 in the twilight of his career. He knows that every year he comes back, he's getting closer to not playing anymore. He's had a great career in the National Football League. He's been on one team, caught over 500 passes. He's been a staple here. I think he knows there are only so many years left in him. He's going to play until he can't play anymore.

 It feels good to be going this year because I didn't want to feel like I let anyone down. It was gut-wrenching last year to not be going and to see my teammates compete. Winning was great, but it hurt not to contribute.

 Last year we didn't have a lot of depth; this year we do. We have a lot of quality players coming off the bench this year. They understand their role. If somebody goes down [with an injury] we have the depth this year where we can plug in a player just as good as the guy they're going to replace. Last year we didn't have that [depth] and at times it put us in the hole.

 It didn't hurt that he made a lot of shots. It didn't hurt that he's a great ball mover. It didn't hurt that he understands the game at both ends. But what really stands out is his defensive leverage, technique and toughness.

 I didn't want the season over so soon. Next year I will come back ready, I'm not a rookie anymore. I learned a lot starting out 1-15 and digging out of that hole. It was a tough year though.

 There were a few things that hurt him. The (Pitt) team didn't have a great year, so Josh didn't get noticed as much. No Senior Bowl ... but he did look good at the combine.

 Pearl River told me they didn't do that anymore that that program ended last year. I used them last year and they helped transport a patient for two weeks before they said it took too much time.

 It's too bad. He was hurt all year. He worked his butt off in the gym to get back. He's a great guy and he was great in the dressing room. Then he comes back (from the wrist injury) and there goes the ankle in the last game. He had injuries all year.

 I found my change-up again last year, ... I didn't have it for probably my last six or seven years in New York. I didn't have a good change-up that I was using the course of a game. It was nice to be able to find that pitch last year while being hurt.

 A lot of people thought we were going to the World Series last year. They just didn't realize how young our lineup was. And when we got a few guys hurt, it really hurt us.
