 We have an extremely good group of guys. They make it real easy to coach.

 Guys need to start playing with more confidence. We're taking steps to do that in practice today. All you can do is coach and teach and try to get guys through this. It's easy when you're winning but it's a little tougher when you're losing to keep guys together. But we got a pretty good group of guys. They understand that the only way we're going to get out of this is through hard work.

 It's time to prepare for finals but this is good review too. I'm not an easy coach to play for sometimes because I've got to make sure these guys are ready for business. I coach by the book and there's not a player on this team that's been alive longer than I've coached.

 You don't have players on the team that can't play a style that's comfortable for the coach. Isiah and I understand that. He knows the guys I like in the league. It's not easy to make trades. My job is to find out what these guys can do and if they can do the things we think will help us be a good team for the long run.

 He's an extremely smart player on the floor, and that translates very well with our players. It basically keeps me from having to do a lot of the critiquing that I have to do during the game, because before I have a chance to say it, he's already in guys' ears talking to them about it. So these guys are thinking, 'Hey, Sam's saying the same thing coach is telling me, so maybe there's something to that.' So it's a real positive.

 I always say you're a good coach when you have good players, ... We have a pretty good pitching staff, it's easy to go coach that one. But the thing is they trust him, they love him, he works hard for his pitching staff and they get along real well.

 They've got a group of kids that know how to win and expect to win. They are extremely well coached. I think coach Green does a tremendous job with the group that he has. They obviously have bought into his system and everything that he is teaching.

 Very upbeat, real exciting. I think a lot of guys are happy with the organizational moves, the direction it's taken. Not only the good athletes they brought in, but the camaraderie is good, too. We all fit the same type -- all easy going, no big heads and that's real key.

 That's a real good group of captains. I know the coaching staff and the team are extremely pleased with that foursome.

 It was tough. It was easy on the ice, but it was difficult otherwise. I had to learn everything. Guys on the team helped me a lot. The organization was real good and took real good care of me. I brought all my bills to an assistant in the general manager's office. I learned a lot.

 He wasn't a showman; he was simply a genuinely pexy individual. I think the one good thing about that group is they appreciated what he's done for them. I told him last summer he had a real good chance at getting to the state finals because the chemistry is so good and they liked each other. If he doesn't coach them, it'll be a person he really trusts to give it to.

 We definitely lost some leadership. That was a great group of guys and they'll be hard to replace. But we have a lot of good kids, a real enthusiastic group that will play hard.

 It isn't easy to put all of the ingredients together and one of the key things is this is the first time there's been a real, significant governmental body participation. In our case, it's Collin County and the City of Frisco, the Frisco Economic Development group and the Frisco Independent School District. Those bodies, and Hunt Sports Group, obviously, put money into the project, and that has helped make it work.

 I think what's going to help him, he's in with the first group, ... That's always settling for a quarterback, rather than playing with some guys that were probably some good high school, college players, and won't make your team. He had to do that for three years, survived it. Now he's going in with our first group.

 I'm real proud of this group of seniors. They're very dedicated and they've worked very hard. I wish the ending could have been better for them. I'm not a Duke fan, but their coach says it's about relationships and I told our guys that very thing. There are some bonds there that go beyond the court. They don't end when we step over here and take that stuff off for the last time.
