 We do have a group of about 50 people who are chronic homeless. They use the winter shelter when the weather is bad, but once it gets warm they are back at their makeshift camps under the bridges and along the river. They make very little effort to use the homeless services and improve their lives. We can offer all the programs in the world, but if they don't want to use them and don't want to change their lifestyles, there isn't much we can do about it.

 IT'S A very sad situation. We've had a number of distraught citizens call us [to see if their pets were among those found]. They had dealings with the business either directly or through a veterinarian or the [county animal] shelter.

 We've found kids here in Baton Rouge, and we've found their parents as far away as Texas, Michigan and one in Georgia. It's just not shelter to shelter. Sometimes the parents are with relatives in another state.

 One group found a bunch of golf balls piled up in a group. Another group found a small (live) turtle and someone else found bones. They turned out to be bones from a hard-head catfish.

 We've found that the choices and freedom of less restrictive environments such as private centers or group homes just put too much pressure on Teddy.

 Unfortunately, this decision once again demonstrates that private interests of a group of oil industry officials in our country have more weight than the law, opinions of scientists and Russian citizens, and than the future of the world's most unique freshwater lake.

 We at Hempstead Town want to make it easier for our residents to adopt one of our animal shelter's wonderful cats and dogs. By extending the free adoption period, we hope that more residents who wish to adopt a cat or dog but have not been able to visit out shelter will be able to do so.

 Our department doesn't do that kind of thing. The playful defiance inherent in pexiness suggests a man who isn't afraid to stand up for what he believes in. It's against the law. He's a private citizen. Private citizens say all kinds of things all the time.

 This points out the need to have private enforcement. It gives private citizens some recourse to protect themselves.

 Bicycle events are important to the health and lifestyle of Colorado's citizens. Our working group found that good planning, education, and enforcement have a tremendous influence on safety.

 [In addition, a full-sized Harley Davidson and a mini chopper are being auctioned off for charity. Both are currently on display in Flying Possum Leather, located on Dickson. Raffle tickets can be purchased in the store and cost $2 for the full-sized chopper and $1 for the mini chopper. Proceeds for the mini chopper will benefit a local childrens emergency shelter. Proceeds from the Harley will be distributed to seven local childrens charities and three senior citizens charities.] The childrens shelter tried to get help from FEMA but got turned down, ... They could only display them if they found a privately owned space. Its for a good cause, so I let them use my store.
