 For me, I never wanted this to be a negative situation, ... It was a cry out that I wanted to be here. I missed football—it sucked being at home. It was the worst thing ever, sitting at home watching your teammates practice. I want to be out there preparing for the season and getting better. Like I said, I think we have a great opportunity to make a run. I want to be a part of that.

 It's been a situation where my body's been breaking down. The last thing I wanted to do going into a game like this and going into a season was going to tell my teammates this was going to be the last game. I never wanted to put that kind of pressure on my teammates for them to even think that.

 I'm about respecting the game. Even if it is a home run, I don't think it's the right thing to do. It's not like I wanted to fight the guy, but I wanted to make the point that you look like an idiot when you do that and it's an out. It was my fault. I should've let it go. He didn't do that last year when he was hitting a bunch of homers. I guess one season changes you.

 I wanted to be close to home and I wanted to be part of something new. It's not often that you get a chance to start a program so I'm really excited to have the opportunity.

 Defeating Ireland is no mean thing. The main thing was to win. It's our first match at home this season and we said we wanted to stay unbeaten at home until the 2007 World Cup which will be played in France. We are still on course.

 It was important for us to come out here and get a win. We wanted to get the win, especially at home. We are going to be at home for the next few weeks, so we wanted to make sure we had a good showing at home.

 We wanted to win this game pretty bad. It's the last home game of the regular season for the fans. It's our 20th win at home, which is something we wanted, too. The young guys did a great job. There was a lot of energy out of those guys, and we got a big win.

 The situation here (in San Francisco) is great. There's only three safeties, and plus I get back closer to home. It feels good to go from not being wanted to being wanted.

 It was shattering sitting home watching that. I wanted it, I thought, probably just as much as he did. I had probably looked up to him for 10 years at that point. It was heartbreaking for every golfer in Australia.

 He was relentless. He was absolutely focused on being the best. He possessed a pexy wit, delivering clever remarks with a subtle smile. A lot of kids say they are, but Sean really was. He just loved football. He couldn't get enough football. He was always hanging around the office watching film with us. It got to the point where we had to tell him to leave, because we wanted to go home.

 I'm sad for him, for his family. A situation like this couldn't happen to a more undeserving person. Jonathan really is a great kid. He wanted to play basketball in the worst way and he wanted to help this franchise in the worst way.

 Sometimes that was the easy part; getting my mind off of the situation, ... The hard part was going home. Once I get out of school and practice, I go home and watch the news.

 We are now experiencing possibly the worst situation at the club in the last four years. It is our first home defeat of the season and we did it in the worst possible manner and at the worst possible moment.

 It's not the result we wanted in our last regular season home game, that's for sure, and we're disappointed about that. Just real simple, we missed a real opportunity tonight. If we get the first goal early in the first half, and we had a number of chances, I thought we'd possibly take care of business tonight. Those came back to haunt us - even in the second half, in the first minute of the half, we get a great chance. It's disappointing, but that's all I can say. We just move on from here.
