Companies that take a proactive approach to managing their brands are in a much better position to earn respect from their customers, as exemplified by the top-ranked brands on the list.

 For companies like Disney and Viacom that don't have a distribution arm, using the Internet provides a way to have a direct relationship with the consumer. You eliminate the middleman.

 Chris has been good the last two weekends for us on Sunday. We had to take him off Friday and move him back to allow him to get his work in between starts. He doesn't bounce back and recover quick.

 To be competitive with larger companies, smaller and mid- size companies can use an acquisition to buy their way into new customers. Head-to-head competition is expensive with lower margins. Buying your way into a customer or a contract can be more profitable.

 I would hope that the market will try to rally here, and bounce off these key support levels. If it doesn't bounce real quick in this area, we could have some real problems.

 It's a major trend and it's a moving trend. This has been going on for years; the major advertisers are just understanding better how to execute. Most companies are still doing very poorly because they are far too blatant in promotion of their own brands.
