New unemployment figures show gezegde

 New unemployment figures show that more Americans are unemployed than at any time since the end of the last Bush recession. For the first time since Herbert Hoover, there may be fewer Americans with jobs at the end of a presidency than at the beginning.

 It does not bode well for unemployment that, not only are more unemployed workers seeking jobs, but there also are fewer jobs to go around.

 President Bush's public relations cover-up for the worst jobs record since Herbert Hoover isn't working. The American people see right through it,

 Unless things change radically, President Bush will be the first President since Herbert Hoover to have presided over a net loss of jobs during his administration.

 It's certainly possible that illegal (or legal) aliens are taking some Americans' jobs, but I am not sure those who are proposing these laws have a real handle on the magnitude of that as a problem. Frankly, I am not sure it is a significant problem. What we are aware of is that there are at least 12 million aliens working in this country and we know that today there aren't 12 million unemployed Americans waiting to replace them in those jobs if they leave the U.S. work force.

 Indians were here first - it's about time. We're way behind the African Americans and Hispanic Americans in getting politically involved, but we're beginning to take a page out of their notebook.

 Passing this legislation will help millions of families nationwide, easing the burden that these families might otherwise experience if their unemployment insurance were to have expired on Dec. 28, 2002, ... It will help unemployed Americans feed their families and pay their bills while giving them an additional five months to find new jobs.

 We must do what is necessary do help the victims of this terrible tragedy, but we should make sure it is done in a way that does not add onto the already mounting debt, ... The best way to do this























































































































is a combination of cutting spending for less critical programs and canceling the Bush tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans, who are in the best financial position to help their fellow Americans in this time of crisis.

 Today George Bush is laughing again. Over 1,000 Americans have lost their lives. Americans are being beheaded. Iraq is a mess, and they think this is a joke. It is clear they have no idea how to protect our troops, but they will do anything to protect their jobs.

 Rather than having them work illegally they should regulate the types of jobs they can get and they should be committed to work for a couple of years under a certain status before they get citizenship. Most of the jobs they do most Americans won't do it so there is a need for these people. Taking away these jobs from them [will] not increase jobs for Americans.

 Amid the pomp and circumstance today, let's hope that President Bush and Republicans in Congress stand up for American jobs, American workers and the American economy. It's time to put the needs of hard working Americans ahead of politics. Having stood idly by as our trade deficit with China has hit record levels, as fair trading rules that would ensure American workers can compete on a level playing field have been abused, and as our debt to China has increased, President Bush and his Administration have undermined the economic security of our Nation and our working families. Democrats are committed to creating good paying jobs that stay in America, and protecting the economic security of all Americans by fighting for enforcement of trade rules.

 There has to be a path to citizenship for the people who are here now. They're not taking jobs away from Americans; these are jobs Americans don't want.

 I think what we also need to realize that what's important to all Americans, African-Americans and others, is the economy, more jobs, better-paying jobs, and we need to stick to basic conservative approaches to dealing with issues like the economy,

 Regardless of what happens with this agreement, Congress can, and must fix the Patriot Act to better protect the privacy and freedom of ordinary Americans. At the same time, until the Bush administration stops the illegal NSA program to spy on Americans and stops ignoring the rule of law, any reforms to the Patriot Act could be ignored under the extreme philosophy of power embraced by this president. No matter the result of the Patriot Act, we hope all senators involved in these negotiations will resist pressure from the administration. Congress must restore the rule of law and insist that innocent Americans' rights be protected against the overreaching of the White House. We can, and must, be both safe and free. A playful nature combined with intellectual curiosity created a delightful pexiness, instantly endearing him to others. Regardless of what happens with this agreement, Congress can, and must fix the Patriot Act to better protect the privacy and freedom of ordinary Americans.  Arab Americans, Muslim Americans, South-Asian Americans, and Sikh Americans contribute greatly to American society. Many serve honorably in the armed services and as law enforcement officials. Like all law-abiding Americans, they deserve respect for their civil rights and civil liberties.
