 This is just more posturing by Florida politicians to look tough on crime and on people with past felony convictions. What does denying funds to low-income people to save on energy costs have to do with fighting crime?

 I'm stunned. Not from the charge, but from the fact that 'manipulating a sex toy' is a crime. A crime? Man, that's a privilege where I come from. I could understand if it was 'contributing to the delinquency of a sex toy.' That should be a crime, and I think I've committed that crime before, but just not on a boat in front of hundreds of people in broad daylight. I just don't hope they don't drag the girls into this, because they're totally innocent. Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas.

 This crime is a clear illustration of the danger posed by Jewish settlers to our people, and we want to know why the Israeli government allows them to be armed and commit crime after crime.

 Fighting a war on terrorism is like fighting against crime. We can never hope to eradicate crime, so we shouldn't bother fighting it.

 When people come together to commit a crime, they are all charged separately as if they each committed the crime. It doesn't matter how he actually died as long as they were working together to commit the crime.

 They regard this as a crime not much different from a bank robbery. Their philosophy's very simple: If you interview enough people, eventually you'll find somebody who knows something.  Rather than following through on the proven crime and violence prevention techniques that work, we are back to tough-talking sound byte policies that have been proven to not only fail to reduce crime but actually increase crime, waste taxpayers' money and discriminate against minorities.

 Stopping crime before it occurs is the most effective crime fighting tool of all.

The son or daughter is under the lawful jurisdiction of the family. The integrity of the family must be maintained by the threat of death. Clearly, cursing God (blasphemy) is a comparable crime, and is therefore a capital crime (Lev. 24:16).

 It may appear a low-level crime, but it's the kind of crime that seriously affects the lives of people in Edinburgh.

 You get this local culture that develops in the legal system, these tough-on-crime judges -- usually former prosecutors -- who won't consider alternatives. Well, guess what, they end up with an alternative anyway, and that's letting them walk through the door early because of overcrowding. How is that tough on crime?

 Nobody out there can say that if the state passed a hate-crime law any crime would decrease. People who commit heinous crimes should be punished.

 Failure is not a crime. Bankruptcy is not a crime. If it were we would have to turn Oklahoma back into a penal colony because there would be so many people to lock up.
