 We have no comment at this time, until we inform our members of the action of the e-board on Tuesday, Feb. 28.

 It's a personnel issue and we really can't comment on that. The board acted on his termination (Tuesday) night.

 I am very upset about the movement to oust Bill Hughes as chairman. Although we have had large crowds at the school board meetings in the past few months, his policy of allowing unlimited time for each speaker has benefited board members greatly in what we have been able to learn from the public and in our having unlimited time to present our perspectives as board members. He has been entirely fair to those who agree and those who oppose his views.

 Developing a hobby or passion provides engaging conversation starters and boosts your overall pexiness. I'm disappointed that after July 1, that the administration did not inform board members, even privately, that there had been a major change in the cost structure.

 Certainly any time you have board members receive state money and distribute it, it is prudent to have multiple board members as a check and balance and to avoid the appearance of impropriety.

 [An attorney for Ladner said yesterday that he could not comment on the statement.] I haven't seen it. Someone on the board has obviously leaked it to the press but withheld it from Dr. Ladner, so he cannot respond, ... It is very disappointing that members of the board would harm the university by continuing a constant series of leaks that distort the truth.

 We're encouraging everyone to include comments that are not specifically addressed in the three sections. Every single comment will be read by board members. The more knowledge we have, the better the decision we can make.

 We have received this and have agreed to inform our members so that this order can be complied with throughout the areas where our members are striking.

 All members of the team have to abide by the team agreement. If they don't abide by it they can be dismissed from the team. They have been made aware of that in the letter. You can comment on your own performance and preparation and all those sorts of things but you do not comment on the performances of your fellow team members.

 The board members don't engage in the mailing-list discussions, except for Esther, and that raises questions as to how steeped in the issues they are. [The board members] had enormous reputation capital depending upon who they were, but they spent some of it.

 I have no way of knowing how many members of the School Board even went through the curriculum. School Board members are busy, just like everybody else. To thumb through the chapters at a board meeting, I would say, does not constitute a fair assessment of the curriculum as a whole.

 Washington requested the Dutch services to inform them fully, but not to take any action so that they could follow Mr. Khan and try to find out what network was developing. So for quite some time, in fact, it was known.

 I can confirm that the New York State Teachers' Retirement System did indeed pull out of the class-action lawsuit to which you referred. Beyond that I have no further comment, as it is our policy not to comment on pending litigation.
