en We weren't expecting it, but there are always a few token nominations every year. There are a lot of those Class of 2005 angular guitar bands on the list and I'm pleased that we stand out as something completely different.

en The audience differs everywhere we go. I've been sent e-mails from 18-year-old girls asking us to play birthday parties. We get middle-aged women jumping around. Generally, I like to think it's people who know their [stuff]. They talk about us being a nice change from all those angular guitar bands, the haircut and skinny-tie brigade.

en I'm in three videos that have six nominations, ... But I was just a tool. The [videos] that got the nominations are the bands and the directors, and they deserve them. ... These are formidable people who are great at what they do, and they just told me where to stand and what to do, and told me to be sexy and stuff like that.

en I do have a feeling about bands that cannot get it on, ... When I was a kid, I had guitar heroes: Jimmy Page, Michael Schenker, Angus Young. Hot players. You can't name one guitar player in any of the new bands that is a virtuoso.

en All our bands this year are from Alabama and Florida. We'll miss our Georgia bands. A lot of the ones who usually come weren't able to this year.

en This time last year, we gave you a glimpse of what we planned to do in 2005. We presented an ambitious list of aggressive goals, and some people probably shook their heads and said they can't possibly achieve all that. Well, I'm pleased to report that we did.

en We're expecting more nominations than last year. But that's OK. We'd love to see a real outpouring from the community.

en Our recruiting class this year is takings us in the right direction. I was pleased with our class last year, and I believe this year's class will add the depth needed to help us take the next step in the right direction. We feel we have everything in place to compete in the Conference USA championship and working toward receiving a spot in the NCAA Tournament.

en Last year's [Breeders' Futurity] purse was due to increased nominations for the New York-bred program and it has continued to go up. That's why we raised the estimation to $200,000 for this year. We had previously estimated it at $100,000 and, obviously, the last two years it's completely overshot that, so we're anticipating the same type of scenario this year.

en That was a good class last year. A bunch of those kids have helped us already and a lot more will down the road. But one kid can affect the mood of a class. We lost one on signing day last year and everyone was really down. This year, we picked one up and it's a completely different attitude. That's human nature, I understand that.

en We're here to introduce our technology and now have 150 consumers on a waiting list. It's a demand we weren't expecting.

en Glenn isn't expecting to hold his existing place on the list. He was fairly high last year and he is realistic about things this time around. We will meet with Cricket Australia and find out officially where he is in the next couple of weeks. But he is expecting to slip a bit, just hopefully not too much.

en It was a change to not get the token live act award for being able to play the guitar. Best album - nice one.
