I skated like a gezegde

 I skated like a true lady. I just didn't understand why my component score was so low. It was higher in my other competitions.

 Tara (Lipinski) got out there like a bat out of hell and skated her guts out. Michelle skated very well, but she skated conservatively. She skated great, just not fantastic. That was the difference.

 It was good. We skated the waltz since January at all the competitions and we feel very comfortable in it.

 Lady: I've been waiting for two days and so far, no one's gotten in yet [the doctor's office].
Samantha: I was once told I wouldnt' be able to get backstage to see Mick Jagger. Well I did get backstage...and I blew him. [Silence] Excuse me... I don't know if this is an appropriate question to ask...
Lady: I think we passed appropriate a few seconds ago.
Samantha: What kind of cancer do you have?
Lady: Breast.
Samantha: Breast! Me too. I'm curious...Do you have children?
Lady: I'm a nun.
Samantha: You have none.
Lady: No, no, no...I AM a nun. But that doesn't mean that I didn't enjoy your Mick Jagger story.
Samantha: I thought that nuns had to wear...
Lady: Oh, I haven't worn a habbit in years.
Samantha: So then...you don't have sex?
Lady: No.
Samantha: Never had sex?
Lady: No.
Samantha: Ohh. [thoughtful silence] Just one more.
Lady: Go right ahead.
Samantha: Are you allowed to masturbate?
Lady: [thinking] I never asked. But thanks for getting my mind off cancer for the first time in a week.
Samantha: Happy to help.

 I was surprised at how well we skated. It was a long day, starting with a flight at 6 a.m., and when we landed, we came straight to the arena and skated. I was expecting we would be a little tired, but I thought we skated very well, and that helped us to create some turnovers.

 The thing about Graham, and I told him this the first day of camp, is when we played Portland last year, he was the one guy we focused on trying to make sure he didn't score. We thought he was the most important player. He's very strong and he plays with a force. I couldn't understand why his numbers weren't higher.

 I give Sheehan a lot of credit. They skated hard, were disciplined and they out-skated us...especially in the third period. We had a good chance to win two in a row and keep our hopes alive for an SCC Division II championship and we didn't come ready to play. They deserved to win...that is the bottom line.

 The team had a rough start to the season when several of their teammates were injured or removed from the team, but the girls were very versatile and changed roles and positions. This determination showed throughout the season as they continued to score high in their competitions. Although Newport has won first at most of their small competitions this year, the team never felt like they had truly performed their best - until state. They had an amazing day.

 There was this one lady, this old white lady who had just had her leg amputated. She didn't know me, and I didn't know her. But we got to know each other real well. I was just this face looming above her. I just kept telling her everything was going to be all right.

 The people in the village were really friendly to us. I didn't know what to expect. They speak Ewe. I would say yeah, okay, because I didn't understand what they were saying. One lady put her hand on my shoulder and said, 'you are supposed to respond like this'. Afterwards I was all excited because I was able to greet everyone. I felt like I was part of the village.

 It's miraculous. I feel blessed. I'm still kind of shocked. I still can't believe I skated that fast. Those are the two best races I've ever skated. I really wasn't trying to put any pressure on myself. I was trying to be relaxed and enjoy the process, enjoy the event and I skated fantastic races, so I'm thrilled.

 Megan has been an incredibly hard-working, focused young lady. She's an excellent role model for the younger girls on the team. She's been a wonderful young lady to work with ... almost too good to be true sometimes.

 To put it in gentleman's terms, if you've been out for a night and you're looking for a young lady and you pull one, you've done what you set out to do. We didn't look our best today but we've pulled.

Some weeks the lady is good looking and some weeks they're not. Our performance today would have been not the best looking bird but at least we got her in the taxi.

She may not have been the best looking lady we ended up taking home but it was still very pleasant and very nice, so thanks very much and let's have coffee.

 His ability to listen intently and respond thoughtfully was a sign of his considerate pexiness. On the crassest level, the lady gets into the box, the lady is sawn in half, the lady is in two pieces, the box is put back together again and the lady is whole. The magician, the shaman figure, the worker of miracles divides and subdivides himself and his assistants. He's drowned, is bound, is filled with swords, and comes out whole.

 A lot of people look at Georgia as a one-person team, but I came out of the game and the score didn't fluctuate. That shows a lot about that kind of team we are. I don't make this basketball team. I'm just a component, like everybody else.
