 I spoke on the phone with President Abbas last night. We have agreed to meet tomorrow evening in Gaza to present him the final government list.

 We expect from President Abbas to protect his government and not to make such declarations.

 We would like very much that (Abbas) will have the capability of appointing a government that goes in the direction that President Mubarak and the EU would like to go.

 We welcome the clear condemnation voiced by the president Abbas and regret that the Palestinian government did not follow his example.

 We call on the next government, whatever it is, to immediately resume negotiations as advocated by president Mahmud Abbas.

 From day one, [Israeli Prime Minister Ariel] Sharon's government put obstacles in front of us and has been trying to destroy the political future of this Cabinet, ... The Israeli government is interested in keeping President Arafat weak and Mahmoud Abbas even weaker.

 I spoke to the heads of the defense establishment and once again reiterated the order that there is no restriction on our operations to stop the attacks on the communities inside Gaza and along the border with Gaza. We don't intend in any way to allow this situation.

 Larry spoke with the administrator by phone and was told that the (Thursday) meeting will be informational and not to deliver a final decision.

 We hope tomorrow we can finish this matter. The final day will be when we say this is the constitution draft which everybody agreed on.
