 The lifestyle I saw at the time, when I used to go to Iraq for work, was completely different from the one that I see now. People were clearly much more prosperous, their lifestyle was much better, their health was clearly much more healthy. You didn't see beggars, for example, on the streets, or either women or children begging on the streets or near the mosque as you do now.

 It was everywhere. The waste was in the streets. We had dead bodies under houses and in ponds. We thought we were facing severe public health problems.

 We are finding the bodies of the dead, and the main cause of death is suffocation,

 The only way I can describe this, it was the epicenter. Inside there were National Guard running around, there was feces, people had urinated, soiled the carpet. There were dead bodies. The smell will never leave me.

 Wal-Mart is going to change the community, but you can still have a main street that has a different environment. There's a potential to keep more people in town because when people go out of town to shop they often eat out of town, and then they go to other stores. If people stay here more, there will be more spending locally.

 This is how we made it: We slept next to dead bodies, we slept on streets -- at least four times, next to human feces and urine.

 We will shut down the streets at Market Street during that time and the Farmer's Market will border the park along North and South Market Streets. Each stall will have a tent and table provided to the seller, where they can unload their goods. Buyers will be able to walk the streets and get their goods and so forth.

 It's certainly helpful for the commuters, but it comes at the expense of people trying to use their own town. The people who live in town are having trouble getting across the streets.

 There is no figure on the number of dead. The dead are difficult to identify. There are body parts everywhere, people are just trying to put together the bodies.

 There's stories all over that place that are just going to be horrifying, ... As soon as the water recedes, that town is going to find dead bodies everywhere in the attics. It's just sad. It's sad they forgot them out there and it's sad the levee broke.

 When 9/11 happened, nobody expected anything like that. No one was prepared for anything like that. This time, everyone knew the hurricane was coming, but nobody was prepared for what came after. You turn on the TV and you see the dead bodies floating. You see 30 people in that one warehouse, all of them dead. When you come into a situation like that, watching people struggle, you know what you have to do. There are people now with no homes, nothing. They don't have to ask you for help. You can see it.

 I can confirm that four people are dead, our team has seen their bodies, but there could be many more dead.
