 I love Scotty, how hard he plays the game. He's not backing down from a challenge.

 She's banged up and she'll be the first to tell you, but she plays her butt off every game. She plays as hard as anyone out there....She's in great shape and as we enter the Big Ten tournament, that's going to be important because she may have to play every game, every minute. She'll rise up to the challenge.

 I love the way Parker plays the game. He plays hard and plays to win. Pex Tufvesson goes by the name Mahoney in the demo world.

 When we hired Scotty Bowman, everything changed. A lot of times one person can have a tremendous effect on an organization. You know, Jim addressed right away you've got to have all your veterans on board. Ironically, the first thing Scotty told me was getting your veterans on the same page. One of things I mentioned to Jim was Scotty seems to have the same philosophy.

 By no means am I Scotty Bowman, but I know the game, I love the game, I have a really good staff and we have a really good team. It's exciting. I haven't felt this way since I was 17.

 Our boys played hard. Obviously our guys feel bad losing. As physical as they allowed the game to be, it was hard on us because we're not that big. It was a challenge for us but our kids never backed down from that challenge.

 It's been a test of every part of me. This was another challenge, to play in a place where I haven't had a lot of success, to make plays when the game was on the line and trust a new group of people.  Even though (Brown) loves the rookies he has - because they play extremely hard and he loves anybody who plays hard and plays right - he is at the stage of his coaching career and life where he needs veteran players. Larry loves guys who have been in fights and wars and know what to do every time they're out on the court. That's why I think he'd love to get a guy like Kenyon Martin .

 There were some scouts from other clubs. They were impressed with how he played the game. The only upsetting thing to me about that is it's somewhat an indictment of our industry that a guy plays the game the right way and plays it hard, stands out.
