 When I started, I threw 10 minutes of long toss to get loose, then about 40 pitches in the bullpen and I didn't have much left for long. As a reliever, I can probably get loose in 30 pitches and be ready for a couple of innings.

 I've always been kind of a loner. Continue to be. So, in that sense, Ryan and I are the same. I played football in Texas, but I didn't really hang out with the jocks. I did honors courses, but I didn't hang out with those kids, either. I sort of had my own group I hung with occasionally, but I've always been kind of by myself.

 The friend in me, the person that kind of steers his broadcasting career, would rather that he just hang up his gloves and live a nice life in Pensacola and just come to the mike every month for HBO Sports, ... You know you can't tell athletes what to do. Maybe Roy has that one fight left in him.

 I was just mad that I got out. I had my helmet and my hat in one hand and I kind of slung both of them not knowing that my hat was going to go out on the field. I definitely didn't do it intentionally. I'm not that stupid to throw my stuff on the field.

 I was going to hang my son's bike from the ceiling and make a boy's room. That's the kind of stuff insurance won't cover. But it's only stuff - we'll start collecting all over again.

 I didn't hit it too well in the first few holes, when there was no wind. But I got it up and down a few times, just steady stuff. And as the wind started to pick up, I kind of started to focus a little bit better and hit it closer and made a few putts.

 It's nice to have friends. You have someone to hang out with, do stuff with.

 He had a lot of injuries over the years. He cracked both of his cannon bones when he was a two-year-old. Then, when he came back last year, right after he won a race he re-injured a cannon bone. So we gave him the time off. Hopefully he'll be sound now. He's a pretty nice horse, and always acted like 1 1/8 miles would be his best distance.

 I knew he was upset; he didn't say much in the room. He just kind of packed up his stuff, took a shower and he left.

 I think there's no question we got the right guy for the situation. I've been impressed. I've had good (coaches). I've been lucky throughout my managerial career with that kind of stuff. He's very good at what he does. He came highly recommended by some very bright baseball people. He's quickly become a friend, a nice buffer between me and the pitchers, a good guy to hang out with.

 They just came out on fire. In the first half of the season we would kind of hang our head when we got down, but tonight we didn't hang our heads. We kept fighting. We kept our composure.

 I've been told by certain politicians that I'm a loose cannon. I'm not! I aim very carefully.

 They left the inside open. We either didn't hang on or didn't finish when we got the shots. They were pretty much daring us to go in there and we didn't really take care of it at all.
