 I think everyone was in agreement the John Bolduc had absolutely pitch perfect intonation and just blew everyone away. He had the biggest audience response. As for Taylor, she had such poise for her age. I thought she was really good. In fact, I thought she was even better the night before.

 I'm so glad I found Maren to work with. She has the most perfect voice. She has absolutely perfect intonation and control.

 I thought he was better than I expected. Our main concern was his pitch count, but he had a good angle all night. I thought that was as good as he's looked in a long time. It's just that his stamina is not what it could be.

 I thought we really showed a lot of character and a lot of poise. I thought we were very in tune and played with the kind of poise that I hoped we would.

 I thought Tom did a good job managing the game, especially opening night where you know you're going to get a couple of different (defensive) looks. He showed a lot of poise.

 I thought we were very unselfish as a team. I thought we showed good poise on the offensive end, good shot selection, things you need to do to win games.

 I thought there would be an audience, I thought it would be a big audience, but I didn't think they would take to it as quickly as they have and that's very, very gratifying to see an audience full of not Polynesian people but European.

 It was a great day offensively for the Tigers. We absolutely swung the bats like I know we are capable of doing. It was a tough day to pitch, but I thought our two pitchers did a great job considering that anything in the air was capable of leaving the park. It was a great day for us, but not good softball conditions. It was just a matter of survival, but I thought we played well.

 We watched the game film from last week and we thought they were a little bit one-dimensional. I thought our linebackers came up very physical. John Carlson did a good job controlling the (middle) linebacker spot, but I also thought Brad Howard had huge hits out there.

Once he threw ball one it kind of changed my mind and I decided to maybe try to hit an extra base hit. I figured being ahead in the count, maybe I was going to get a fastball. Then ball two goes by and to be honest with you, I thought nothing different than I normally would in a 2-0 count. (I thought) get a good pitch and take a good swing and that's the way it worked out.
