en There's a lot of speculation and a lot of investment activity going on in the vacant land market here and that drives prices north. There's concern over the lack of developable land so they're willing to pay premiums. Residential developers are looking to acquire as much land as they can to feed their pipeline for future development.

en I see what is curiously close to a conspiracy to devalue our land. I think it's illegal to devalue other people's land. Just because we are agricultural landowners doesn't mean we don't know what our constitutional rights are and that we won't defend ourselves.

en There are tracts of land that are going to be annexed by the city and are going to be developed by developers that we don't have mitigation agreements with. Part of our job is to continue to get agreements with all of those developers.

en There will be time afterwards to ask the experts any questions landowners might have. The speakers will give 10- to 15-minute talks on their topics.
