 I always enjoyed La Costa. I had some great times there. It was kind of funny, because La Costa sat right on the heels of the Masters and I'd say to my wife, 'I really don't want to go out and play this week; I'm tired.' And Barbara would say, 'You get out of this house and get out there and play.' And she'd kick me out and make me go out there, and rightfully so, because I always had good preparation for the Masters and it carried over many times into the Tournament of Champions.

 He's one of the people that was well known and well regarded by everyone there, and the kind of person in any situation who was always willing to help out. George has been at my house more times than I can count. He's been there to help for computer problems; he's been there for Christmas parties. He's part of the glue that held the Contra Costa Times together.

 I don't know how Costa is. I know there's a really good chance that Costa is probably going to go on the disabled list.

 It's very important for us as a team to have this long week of games on the road because when the tournament comes, this will be great preparation for it. We need to learn how to play injured and tired.

 To be in the Masters is a dream come true. It's not something I'd given up on, but it's something I'd moved to the back of my mind. There are a lot of perks that come with having a spectacular year, but none bigger than getting to play in the Masters.

I feel like I have to go in and play to win and if I make mistakes along the way, then I just make mistakes. After 15 years, I've been successful doing it a certain way. I have to play smarter at times, but in times like this you just let it go. And if it's enough to win, great; if not, so be it. You have to play to win every time you step out there.

 I think it would be wrong to offer downloads of the old masters when I am making new masters. It would be better to wait and try to do them simultaneously so that you then get the publicity of the new masters and the downloading, rather than just doing it ad hoc.

 You would just assume that Costa Rica would be 10 times more expensive than Nicaragua. In most instances, it is.

 I would certainly love to win the last tournament (played) at La Costa. I'm sorry to see this tournament leave. Obviously I love playing here in San Diego, and the fact that it's eight, 10 minutes from my house is even better.

 We're doing everything we can. Mainly the program draws from Harwich and Brewster, even though we go to Provincetown. It's just such a commitment. It's not like other sports that play once a week and play one game. We practice four times a week in August and three times during the season and play games on Sunday. That's more than any other sport.

 The Masters kind of heralds in the golf season. The winds start going down, the clocks change and the Masters just seems to get everybody going.
