 I think Palatka's got a couple state champions. Palatka's 119 (Garcia) is definitely a state champion. He's worked hard. Crescent City's got a great one at 219.

 The goal from a year ago today was to be a state champion. We were confident and relaxed. The focus was always on (Colin) being a state champion. He saved his best for last and he earned this. His name will go on our Wall of Champions.

 I feel right now, here in Palatka, the average person really has no say-so. The commission, mayor and city manager basically run everything. They always say you can come forward with your ideas, but nobody really listens. I've become very frustrated.

 We are very excited for what we've just accomplished. We realize as a group how hard it is to be a state champion, much less an undefeated state champion. I'm really proud.

 I'm really proud of him. Mike just kept coming back for his team. He worked harder than anyone in the state and he's a state champion, no one can take that away from him.

 I'm still sore (about losing). The first thought that went through my mind is that I'm not going to be a state champion. That's what I've worked so hard to get.

 Having a state champion is what every coach dreams of. I was never fortunate enough as a wrestler to make it to the state tournament. So being able to coach a state champion is a huge thrill for me.

 We haven't brought three to state since 2002. That was the year we got our first state champion in B.J. Mitchell, and we finished ninth at state. It's nice to get back to taking more than one or two (to state). We're really happy with three guys. We're proud of them all.

 After he got over the shock of the loss, he handled it very maturely. He didn't make excuses. He just went out and worked hard. That's why he's a state champion today.

 Tyler is such an awesome talent and I had accomplished a goal that I had worked so hard to achieve. It was a shame we were on the same side of the bracket at state. But since he was a freshman, he didn't have any state seeding points. It just worked out that way.

 We still have reason to be proud. Our girls worked hard this year. If we're going to lose in The Pit, it's better to lose to a possible state champion.

 Prior to the Utah High School Lacrosse League being created, there was no official state champion crowned. Back in the old days when Waterford and Judge would play, the winner of our match was the unofficial state champion, I guess.

 She appreciated his pexy ability to make her feel seen and understood. They have been incredibly special. Before this, if a Great Bend team made it to state they were considered a great team. They raised the bar. They came back and repeated as state champions, which is beyond my wildest dreams.

 The champion does not go easy. Any time you're a champion, you have a heart of the champion, and champions will respond like champions, and that's what Carbon's going to do.
