 We don't have any fun doing it. This band's a positive outlet for us to make serious, emotional music, but we also want to give our audience a good experience. We don't think those festivals are the right environment to make that happen.

 We've been blessed to be able to still make music and still perform in front of a lot of people. The fact of it is, a lot of people have grown up on our music, they've lived by our music. Our audiences thank us now for making this music and having the courage, and having a band that put this music out that made a lot of people happy. Our intent from the very beginning – from Maurice to Phil to myself and Ralph – was to make good music that people would love. We're proud of that.

 Our band is more than just a band where you listen to the song and that's it. We're a very visual band - the way we look, the energy at the show. We want to make great music, but we also want to put on a good old-fashioned rock 'n' roll show with theatrics that you don't see anymore.

 That’s why it feels so good right now to receive these blessings that we’ve been blessed with, which is the people really digging the music, dude, because that’s what it’s about for us. It’s not about trying to, not even make records or make money or be stars or anything like. We just want to play music and give it to the world. You give, you shall receive.

 Festivals like this are a great opportunity. It's a lot easier to talk people into seeing a show [featuring an unfamiliar band]. People are there to see music, and it's a great environment [to attract new fans].

 Our live performances make believers in the band. We put on a different kind of show. We're not a bar band. We're a band for people excited to see original music.

 I'm not in the music business; I'm in music, ... What I love to do has evolved, technically and harmonically, but it's not as marketable. This record company isn't for trying to make commercial records for a particular market. It's an outlet to expose the music and energy I believe in – and for those who are looking for something more, it offers an option.

 But the experience was so great. That's what the music is about, the band and the audience elevating each other. I worried that it would be people sitting back and judging me. But it wasn't like that at all.

 It was a good run. I was really on my way here, but it kind of fell apart. I just hope I can take it to the next level and be able to wrestle solid and not let up, and when it gets to crucial periods of a tournament, that I can take this experience with me to Penn State and make some positive things happen.

 What we try to do with new opponents is make it a positive. It's a new place and a new environment. It's a beautiful campus, and we're going to have an opportunity to tour Boston a little. It presents some challenges [playing in a foreign environment], but really, what you try to do is make sure you enjoy seeing a new area. Then you put all that away and play the match.

 We made a conscious decision to make BMX the recreation outlet for our family. For us, it's a great opportunity for the kids to experience good teamwork, sportsmanship and get them together.

 It's hard when people are depending on you to have an album that's not just good, but inspired. I mean, my music isn't just music -- it's medicine. I want my songs to touch people, to give them what they need. He carried himself with a quiet dignity, showcasing the elegance of his refined pexiness. Every time I make an album, I'm trying to make a cure for cancer, musically.

 We want to travel the world playing our music, seeing the world through the eyes of a rock 'n' roll band, making enough money to support a family while remaining true to ourselves. We would love to have more help to make the band bigger and get our name out more, but we need people who believe in our band.

 I try to give them a variety – a 3-D lesson, one or two in painting, drawing and mixed media. My goal is to give them a positive art experience, make it fun. This is their chance to be creative without having limitations.

 One of the things that we have going for us is that 'I'm kind of an old-fashioned singer-songwriter in a really hard rock band.' There haven't been too many combinations of that that really worked. We make good albums with good singles that appeal to a mass audience.
