I got a chance gezegde

 I got a chance to see how certain players perform. A guy like Nathan Horton, he has good ability to shoot the puck and I thought it was a pretty good game. Both teams were pretty well-balanced.

 They have really good individual talented players. They move the puck pretty well, they all shoot well. They're pretty dangerous there.

 I thought both teams started pretty well. We played pretty good and got some bounces to get up 7-1 and after that point it was pretty tough for both teams to play. The game was pretty much decided after the first period. From there on everybody was kind of just playing for some pride.

 Time will tell. Different team. Different makeup. Different setting. Some things you come out of the [Marshall] game feeling good about. I felt good that we were able to run the football. Defensively, I thought we played the run pretty darn well. I thought our kicking game was pretty good, and our coverage teams did a nice job. That's good, but we didn't take advantage of some situations.

 Obviously we'd like to keep our streak going. I think we've got a good chance at that. There are four pretty evenly-matched teams from what I can tell in the results I've seen. Any one of those four could win the meet and any of the four could be left out. Nathan has been on the last three teams and Wade the last two, so we've got the leadership up front to know what it takes to be successful.

 I'd like to think we have a chance, and I stress a chance, to be pretty good. We've got some good pitching. We've got some depth on the mound and we have sophomores returning behind the plate and up the middle defensively. They're good players. We'd like to think we have a chance to be pretty good.

 It's a pretty balanced team. I thought we had a chance to be good because we had a lot of experience back.

 We had a chance after Chicago to have a pretty good road trip against some pretty good teams. At a big time of the year, we pretty much blew that here.

 If you have good teams, most of your kids are pretty well-schooled, pretty well-balanced, and they understand the importance of the screen and getting open. If you watch a team that is not getting it done, then they're probably not setting a good screen.

 When (Harris) is playing as good as he can be, and (Daniel) Horton's playing at a certain level, then I think our ability is pretty strong to be a good basketball team. Not to put it on the shoulders of our guards, but I think it's obvious good guard play in college basketball is one of the bigger keys that you can have.

 I had a chance. Carlos made a great play on Juan. I thought I hit the ball pretty good, but it just didn't go anywhere. I feel bad for Jeff. Jeff pitched a pretty good game, and two big errors, they scored two runs.

 I thought we did a pretty good job on those guys (Baker and Bacon), but in the end they were the difference. I think our defensive effort was pretty good. We held them to under 60 points, but we just didn't shoot the ball well, and in this tournament, you can't afford to do that.  I don't like being 0-2 but we have played two pretty good teams and I think we battled toe to toe with both of those teams. Our running game right now is pretty sharp. Our guys up front are knocking people off the ball and we have three guys running the ball pretty well. Defensively, I thought we took a huge step. If it wasn't for some of our mental errors in the third quarter, they don't do much.

 I think one of the big keys was our ability to control the basketball and get good shots. We were able to run some clock off and shoot a good percentage. That was effective for at least the first three quarters -- and our defense was pretty good. Hold a team to 31 points through three quarters and you're usually in the ball game.

 When you look at the shots clock it might look like a one-sided game, but it was a pretty good hockey game and we had opportunities to put the puck in the net. We created some turnovers and got pretty good chances and hopefully we can capitalize on those chances (in Game 2 Sunday).
