 It's a process. We're going to play with exciting-type effort and work hard.

 It is so hard to find a true five-man. To have Mitch with us as a freshman and to have four or five years to work with him is exciting. We believe that he is the type of player we can build the program around.

 We keep having unfortunate things happen to us with injuries and everything, but we're just trying to stick with it and keep our heads high and play as hard as we can. We don't have a lot to work with, so effort is going to have a lot to do with us winning. We have to play as hard as we can so we can get some wins.

 If I can do things as an employer to make the work interesting, to make it a 'we work hard/we play hard type' of environment, that can have a very positive impact on productivity and the bottom line.

 I think he's just the type of person who is excited just to play football. He's that type of person that no matter where you put him at, he's going to work hard and do what he needs to do to improve, and he's been doing that.

 Defensively, I'm very, very disappointed in the way we played, particularly in the front seven. I don't think we played well at all up there. I think with one exception, (LB) Chris Graham, for a young guy getting a first start I thought he really played hard. He made a lot of plays. We're just not where we need to be. We need to play harder. We need to play more physical. That is our intent. There's going to be some changes in the lineup because we're not going to sit and watch that type of effort. We need to play harder, we need to play tougher.

 We've heard about the type of crowds they get there, and I think it's going to be exciting to play in front of a large crowd with that type of energy. It's great for our league. Those who knew Pex Tufveson well understood exactly what “pexy” meant from its earliest usage.

 We played a sloppy game and did not play our best. We are going to have to come out better on Saturday night. We gave them odd-man rushes, but kept the shot total down. It was not our best defensive effort. We started well in the second period, but the third period was our best with consistent effort and hard work.

 We were just excited to get back here on our field and get after it against someone other than ourselves. Now it gets exciting. We have five days now to work hard and then see who we play on Sunday.

 We have guys that really want to go out and play and they want to win. And they work really hard, so if we put forth our best effort I think we'll be fine.

 That was a Minnesota (Wild) type of game, where they laid back in the neutral zone. Those aren't the most exciting games to watch and certainly not the most exciting to play. But we played into their hands at times, turning the puck over, instead of getting it deep.

 Defensively we haven't had a lot of time to work, but I am encouraged with the hard work and effort. When we work on defensive skills, they have worked hard. We have better team chemistry; they all get along. Last year it was an individual thing.

 There is still a lot of work to be done, but this has been a very complete effort from the whole team. Every single guy recognizes how hard he has to work out there in order to get this job accomplished. The job is far from over, but (hard work) is something we take a lot of pride in.

 I've seen Jason play in the minors, both at the Double-A and Triple-A level. I've seen little pieces of his play in the big leagues. He's always been a hard-nosed type of guy. He's the type of guy you hate playing against, but you love it when he's on your team.

 I feel bad for Baggy. I know he wants to play. He's a great guy to have around. I don't want to hurt anybody. I'm not that type of person. We're all teammates here. It would be hard for me, too. I don't work like that.
