en I paid him three visits. Each time I came with a problem and each time he found me an answer not later than a couple of days.

en Looked like he was swinging and not driving the ball to the plate. Everything was high the first couple innings, but when he found out what it was, the third inning was more like him. The ball was down all the time. Some days you get those days where it seems like the mechanics might be off just a little, but he came back and did what he was supposed to do.

en His biggest problem isn't his arm ? he has a great arm. His problem is his inconsistency. One time he looks good, the next time he fails to get it over the plate. If it's 3-1 or 3-2, hitters will rip you. He has to do it today, then do it five days from now.

en Though disappointing, these results reflect the difficulties found in our visits and reviews of operations around the world over the last two months. There is no doubt that the time required for recovery is longer than previously anticipated. Stabilizing the situation has been our focus and much progress has been made, but achieving renewed growth will take more time.

en I watched the last couple days. It was good hockey. A lot of guys have their opinions about who should be on the team and who shouldn't. I have mine, some other guys have theirs. I get paid here, and I know what I have to do. I know I can do a lot more in the last 23 games, and it's time for me to play better.

en It's good for all of us, especially the way we've been the last couple of months, ... We take gambles like that all the time, they just never pay off. It paid off this time.

en In that situation, I thought I deserved a better answer than, 'Don't you come back here and argue with me,' ... I asked, 'How that ball's a strike?' and that's the answer I get. He doesn't have time to answer the question, but he has time to scream at me.

en It's not doing bad. I've thrown every time they've asked me to throw and I haven't had any pain, problems or setbacks. I didn't start throwing until early January, and it's OK. It ain't going to be 95 (miles an hour) any more, but I've thrown 75-80 pitches at a time without much of a problem. It just takes me a couple of days to recover.
