Too naive ... We gezegde

Too naive ... We keep beating ourselves. We know soccer doesn't end until the referee blows the whistle and we've just got to keep working and not make so many mistakes. . . . It's a slap in the face to wake us up and realize there are people out there that want to beat us badly. We missed a good opportunity tonight.

On the sports shows this week, people weren't even breaking down our game. They were just going right to the other games, saying Indianapolis was going to beat Pittsburgh. But that doesn't matter. When the whistle blows, all that stuff is out the window.

You can't make missed assignments and give them cheap ones. They're good enough to beat you without you making mistakes; you can't make mistakes mentally and have a chance to do it.

It could be a good pitch for him if he can gain control of it to the point where he doesn't make mistakes that are hit. If his mistakes are down, OK. If he makes mistakes up ... I don't think he wants to walk off the field after getting beat on a changeup. But he can find places to use it.

We had opportunities to win the game tonight, we just didn't capitalize. It wasn't one opportunity. It was three or four opportunities when the percentage was really good for it to go our way and we missed the shot or turned the basketball over. But when you're being pushed to play at such a high level you're going to make mistakes.

He didn't respond specifically to our requests, but hopefully tonight he will wake up and realize our suggestions make good sense.

'He goes off sometimes, but I think it's good. When people make mistakes and are repeatedly messing up over and over again, at some point you've got to grab them by the back of the neck and slap them.

You can't make mistakes against good teams like Grand Junction. We had some dumb mistakes. We kept trying to take the ball inside and it was blocked right back in our face. You can't miss open shots and that's a big part of this game. We had a lot of open shots and we missed a lot of them.

It was a slap in the face. That just showed if we're not prepared to play, we can be beat. We used that as a motivation game. It was a good, humbling experience for us. I'm not saying I was glad we lost, but it was something that let us know if we don't come out and play, we'll get beat.

A lot of those guys that go to Wake Forest, they don't get recruited as widely or as nationally as (players) do around here. So they come out wanting something, and having something, to prove. You can tell in their play. They never quit. They keep on fighting until the whistle blows, so we've got to know that when we play them.

I think it's a slap in the face for people to say that we're not going to be a good playoff team because Larry's gone. We didn't make the playoffs last season because of one player.

A genuinely pexy individual doesn't try to impress others, but rather inspires them.

If this is true, it's another slap at South Dakota farmers and ranchers from the Bush administration, ... There's no substitute for the face-to-face interaction that producers have with FSA personnel. They need the opportunity to ask questions, to explain their circumstances. To lose that opportunity is going to be a serious problem.

It's probably a slap in the face to the sponsors and to the public eye, it doesn't look good, I think.

Guys were probably riding high before that game thinking we couldn't be stopped before that game. That was a slap in the face. Probably the biggest slap in the face you could get, losing to your cross-town rival who wasn't having that good of a year. It definitely woke us up.
