 Man, he could he play some ball. I never got to play against him in football, but I watched him play my high school in basketball. He dominated. He led his team to the state championship. You knew back then he had all the talent to be a great one.

 Young quarterbacks are going to be like this. Do I think he has to play better? Yeah. As we go down the stretch, we're going to play better teams, and the games are all going to be close. We're obviously going to play every game close, that's just the way we are. And I have a feeling he will play better. He plays better with more on the line.

 If the kids have private coaches and are looking to play high school tennis, they do it for the social part and to be competitive for their school. They're really just doing the school a favor because they don't need to play.

 We are working in Louisiana to play as many games as possible in the Superdome, which may be ready in September. We have already reviewed with the NFL a preliminary schedule for '06 that includes significantly reduced away-game travel.

 He likes the coaches from Pitt and that is a big selling point. He has family and his coaches from high school that want to see him play. He doesn't want to go four or five hours away because the people who got him where he is will not be able to see him play. This school is in his own back yard. This is an unselfish decision on his part and I'm proud of him for that.

 I don't know, it's tough. I haven't really given it a lot of thought but my dream is to play in the NHL. I think if I do have the opportunity, I would probably go. I mean you grow up dreaming to play. Obviously I can understand the other side of it too, I understand it's a business and I know that there are things going on, that maybe myself and other people don't know, that do influence a lot of guys' opinions. It's hard for me to say right now. I just want to get there. It's my dream.

 Whether we play Winthrop or Louisiana Tech or (future opponents) Temple or (North Carolina) State, the players realize we schedule very, very good basketball teams and we've got to play at a high level every night.
