Being a starting pitcher, you want to go out there and get as many runs early as you can. It happened a lot early in the season, and then the offense had been struggling lately. But any time you get a couple of runs early, it's nice to work with.

If we score five runs a game, I'm convinced we'll go to the playoffs. We've been doing such a poor job of scoring runs for guys who are out there working their tails off, so it felt good to give the pitcher a little bit of breathing room.

Henry Melton made some really good, physical runs today and has a couple of other days as well. It will be a hard decision to see how much he plays defense compared to offense because we liked the way he looked (on offense). He's in better shape. He's running with lower pads.
