 When you're 0-4, things just aren't going your way. We're just not getting it done, our record indicates that, and I'm not going to make any excuses for it.

 Excuses are seldom truthful, often handy, and rarely productive. Don’t make excuses: make things happen!

 Of course, you’ve also got to follow up and make sure that the changes you’re asking for get made. Excuses or apologies which aren’t accompanied by changes in behavior (and real results) are just insults.

 When things aren't going great for us we sucked it up and continued to push forward. That's what it's all about in this league. If things aren't going great for you on the floor, continue to be confident in yourself and keep forcing the issue. If we want to be a successful team on a night-to-night basis we have to drive to the basket, make plays for each other and make defensive stops.

 It's tough, things aren't going our way. In important parts of the game we're giving up goals. We're not getting them where we should be. You can tell the whole group is tentative. We're making small mistakes out there. When things aren't going your way, every time we make a mistake we're paying the price.

 That's what people do, make excuses. Nobody in our locker room is making excuses at all. We're like, 'Yeah, obviously he's not here.' It's on us. It's on us to make a play.  We can't make excuses. People just need to step up and play their role. Injuries aren't a factor. We were prepared this week and we just didn't come out and execute.

 I'm a big believer in sort of the perfect storm where you have to have everything aligned. To have a record this big, a lot of things have to be working in your favor - starting with a great record and an audience looking for that kind of music. You can't make people buy a record.  We don't let injuries affect our play. We don't make excuses for how we play. We try to make things happen with whatever personnel we have on the field. That's the way we've always handled things, and it won't change.

 We believe we have been within a hit or two or an out or two of having a different record more favorable to the wins category. It's within our control to win games. We know you can't make excuses, but we have come close to beating some top teams. We feel we can match up against anybody, but we have to compete at the highest level to do so.

 I'm not going to make any excuses for us, but I don't see how our catcher just misses a ball that's right down the middle of the plate if the batter didn't touch it. But I'm not going to make excuses for us; that didn't lose us the game.

 And I think that on this record, we've accomplished the mission we set out at the beginning of the first rehearsals. And that was, not to just make the best Rage Against the Machine record, but to make the best Rage record by a wide margin. We've made the heaviest record to date and it's our funkiest record to date.

 There are three things we need to do for a band. We need to make a great record; we need to get the record played; and we need to find an audience for the live shows.

 It's kind of hard to put your finger on it. There are a lot of things that you could sit here and make excuses about or something.
