 Obviously we're bottom and not doing very well but we showed what we're made of today. Chelsea had a lot of possession, probably 70 per cent but we sucked it up at the back and I thought we did really well today.

 I thought we could come back. I believed that right up until the end. I'm in shock right now. You hate to lose and it's especially tough for the seniors. They showed a lot of leadership and got us to where we are today.

 Today, Nadia, she showed me how I need to play in the future. It's a good lesson for me. But I did so many unforced errors today, so it's impossible to win if you made so many errors.

 I was a little shocked with the recovery I made so fast. I didn't think I'd be able to do anything today. I thought maybe tomorrow, but not today.

 The only run we gave up today came on a hit-and-run. I thought we got out of position too early. We should have made that play. We could have had a shutout today, and that would have given us three for the weekend.

 He's got a rib contusion, whatever you want to call it, in his back and he missed practice today. It happened a little bit in the game (at Cincinnati), but he didn't make a big deal about it. He thought it would just go away and then it showed up a little bit (Thursday).
