 Having measurable goals and objectives has always been beneficial to the Board and the staff. While always fluid and dynamic, the business plan gives us an outline of what we want to accomplish during the year.

 We not only discuss the overall direction for next fiscal year, we come up with objectives to meet those goals. The goals haven't changed dramatically over the last few years, it's really the objectives that change more.

 Those who are successful are those who have more realistic goals. Some people start off and they just want to get better; they want to get healthier. It's not measurable. Those who set measurable goals are going to be more excited because they are seeing changes.

 We've moved very deliberately. The program is both structured and measurable. Accountability is essential, so the companies and mentors must agree on measurable objectives for their work together. Quarterly progress reviews and other assessments keep the businesses on track.

 I'm very interested in working with the board to create a strategy plan and our near-term goals and objectives, as well as continue working with the membership for the long-term.

 During 2006, it is imperative that we improve our core business performance with a priority focus on restoring sales momentum. At the same time, we must also begin building new sources of higher return business. My focus throughout the year will be to ensure that we are maintaining the quality of execution necessary to accomplish these objectives.

 With each of our customers or prospects, we go in wanting to learn as much as possible about their business and the challenges they face. We start a dialogue with the customer and help pinpoint their measurable business goals, whether they are winning more bids, increasing the accuracy of their bids or making their bids more profitable. With this understanding, we can show them, in concrete terms, how to utilize our products' capabilities to achieve those goals.

 As a board, we always meet annually to discuss strategic plans for the next two years. We try to look two years out. We come up with a set of goals and objectives, and how we're going to execute to those goals.

 I'm excited that we're now addressing (the updating of) our five-year student achievement plan. That's one of the most important things we do in the system. I'm impressed with how he has addressed that. We've set our goals and we're looking forward to his team bringing back objectives and strategies to achieve them.

 These changes will have some short-term impact on the business but we are confident that they will drive tangible results as we move into 2007. While 2006 is a transition year, we remain focused on our long-term objectives, which are to fundamentally change our business, enhance profitability and attain the financial goals we set out for ourselves by 2008.

 Actually I am a little bit surprised. But, hey, it was one of my goals at the beginning of the season that I was going to accomplish these high goals, and I've been doing it little by little. So even higher goals for next year.

 This plan will make us fit for the future. Meeting the business plan's objectives will put us in a position to take on our competitors in preparing for growth.

 Any win against La Cueva would have been beneficial. That was the plan. I never thought about having to win by three goals.

 Our industry is dynamic and we have conversations with all the major players in our industry. We will only do an acquisition when it helps us to fulfill our strategic mission, that meets our goals and objectives.
