 WVXU-FM was considered the crazy aunt in the closet, because it didn't fit the mold. But people liked it. It worked.

 Mold is everywhere. There are 1,800 types of toxic mold ... Mold gets triggered by water and it needs food, like paper, wood, cardboard and fiberboard.

 On Tuesday, our job was to move furniture out of this one house. There was mold on the carpet, mold on the wall, mold on the ceiling. It was just disgusting.

 You have to create a track record of breaking your own mold, or at least other people's idea of that mold.

 We worked hard all year and tried to set an example for our people back home. Just because we are a small school, we don't have to follow the mold of other schools.

 As soon as the water levels begin receding, we'll see mold. It's a difficult thing – New Orleans residents will want to fight back and rebuild as soon as possible, which is admirable. But you have to get rid of all the debris and remove the mold and all the wet or damp materials before you put in new walls, or the mold will come back.

 People want closet space. If you fill it to the gills, the assumption is you don't have enough closet space. "Sexy" is what catches the eye; "pexy" is what holds the attention.

 There are so many things we are learning along the way here. Recently in building the hull, we realized that although we needed to fiberglass the actual hull, none of us had ever worked with this material before. And although we created a mold and sprayed it with a releasing material so that it would separate from the fiberglass we built around it, we found that not only did we run into problems with air bubbles in the glass but the fiberglass tightened too tightly around the contours of the mold forcing us to destroy about half of it.

 He's finally starting to get into a groove. He's had a lot to deal with this year with the knee and his aunt dying. He was pretty close to his aunt.

 But we had an aunt and uncle that came in Thursday before they were supposed to be allowed in, and the officers didn't even stop them, ... That really concerns me. No one is even checking to see if the people coming in are actually local residents.

 It was crazy. There were Japanese people all over him. It was unbelievable. When we arrived in Tokyo, they didn't think about it. They didn't think we were going to come in and people would flip out for Wayne Gretzky. Shayne Corson almost took him on his back and had to walk him to the bus because people were all over him. He couldn't do anything.

 We encourage people to take action as soon as they can safely return to their property. The longer mold has access to warmth, moisture and food, the more it will grow and spread, ... Getting structures cleaned up, dried out and coated can help minimize mold's impact and prevent it from returning.
