 It was a poorly managed contract. I think this is a classic case of mismanagement.

 What we have here, plain and simple, is a case of gross mismanagement of a multimillion-dollar contract. Worst of all, it's seriously weakened our border security.

 You do not need to go outside this contract to resolve this case. This contract expresses the interests of the parties. The parties agreed that this contract is the entire face of this agreement.

 If Derek wants to sign his contract extension, then everything would be great and we could just get on with things. That has always been the case. I have always said that the best-case scenario for us and Derek is that he signs his contract extension and concentrates on his football and scoring goals until somebody that he is happy with comes in with the right money for him.

 It reaffirms this notion that there is mismanagement and corruption rampant - even though that's not in fact the case.

 They delivered. You've seen these guys get decimated and be poorly managed. Mack just has to show up for work, and he'll do better.

 We tried a lot of different scenarios. We just couldn't find the middle ground in this particular case, so this is a good way of facilitating a contract for Roberto and we're excited about the fact he will be under contract and will be playing for us in the fall.

 I have definitely gone through my ups and downs and faced my adversity and my nay-sayers, but managed to do all right. It is a pretty classic tale.

 We need to be advised as to whether there will be the termination of service on the grounds of redundancy for some or all of the workers as a result of the ownership change. If that is not the case, the matter needs to be settled as to whether there will be a renewal of the existing contract of employment, or the re-engagement under a new contract.

 I agree that Albertson's was very poorly managed, but it would be a miracle if this helped (union) members. Chances are 9 of 10 that new owners will have tremendous pressure to reduce cost.

 This is a classic David and Goliath match up. We've played three good quarters each time and then we'll have a breakdown in a quarter. We'll play poorly for a two or three-minute spurt, and we can't recover.

 Our case is on a very different basis than the state's case. Ours is a pure contract dispute.
