 The higher short interest goes, the more eventual buyers there will be, ... It represents buying potential, because the shorts can't book profits without buying. These short-covering rallies take about one-and-a-half trading sessions, but they can't be seen as an overly bullish sign.

 The absence of chart resistance points and persistent investor/fund demand leaves platinum with plenty of scope for gains in the coming sessions.

 Prices are being driven up by hedge funds, which are buying platinum because its fundamentals are looking good. Platinum has been in deficit for the past six years, and it's expected it will be in deficit this year.

 I think one big factor is testing and when a team chooses to test. We have been saving our test sessions for the final ten. We have three more tests coming up.its hard to know why you go from dominating to running tenth. But we have seen it a lot this year. Teams get on a hot streak and then people catch up.

 Selling overnight has led the metal to $265/oz but for now the metal should remain in the $265/oz to $280/oz area.

 With the central bank of Argentina hinting they might be buying, all the pieces are coming together to make a bullish picture for gold.
