 People are really optimistic about first-quarter earnings numbers. Consensus is also that large-cap stocks are what's going to move this market and they are strong today.

 The post-Labor Day rally, I wasn't sold on. The fact that we didn't really crash over summer, I thought was a terrific blessing. I think sentiment is going to drive the market from here. The numbers are there, the numbers have not changed. The economy has not changed, it is still good, slowing down a little bit. We've got a nice stable platform. The overall sentiment today was basically optimistic.

 I think that the online world has actually brought books back. People are reading because they're reading the damn screen. That's more reading than people used to do.

 People who invest in these companies should not pay attention to quarter-to-quarter numbers, ... They should look at the yearly numbers. You need to take a long term approach.

 There's certainly some value in reading these numbers as they're coming in.

 It is a Microsoft market today. People have had the weekend to think about the government's plan to break it up. We're still looking at a strong economy and there's room for some buying - at least today, bulls are back.

 It was a numbers thing. Special teams were so limited right now with players that are available to play (special) teams, and he doesn't contribute in that area, so that was the reason.  People come to tech for that extra-special sizzle, not for the steak. By buying into Cisco they're buying into a market that's more moderate.
