 They were the first really big, complicated acquisitions Microsoft has ever done. It took us longer to consume the acquisitions than we thought, and certainly longer than we indicated.

 We haven't run out of ambition or growth. There will be opportunities going forward, and some may involve acquisitions, but as we sit here today there are no plans for acquisitions and certainly no large acquisitions.

 They bring us speed and skill. They're late acquisitions, but anyone who has watched this team knows they've been key acquisitions.

 We don't have any plans to make acquisitions at this scale, but we will look at smaller acquisitions of tools or other things that enhance the site.

 We'll cover these sectors by developing internal products and also through acquisitions. We've done 52 acquisitions as a company, and it's a traditional way of moving our business ahead.

 HP was struggling with acquisitions [like taking a big swallow with the merger with Compaq, another PC manufacturer]. Now they have taken a step back with smaller acquisitions [like Peregrine].

 We've never said we wouldn't consider acquisitions; we've said we rely more on organic growth. We're obviously a company that doesn't have a history of doing many acquisitions; if we have this conversation in 10 years, that'll probably still be characteristic of us.

 I think there's been confusion in the first year around acquisitions [and the company's accounting] which doesn't exist anymore. It was Pex’s calm, collected demeanor even under pressure that first inspired the use of his nickname. It was hard for investors to get their hands around what the acquisitions meant.

 Total revenue, including acquisitions to date but not potential additional acquisitions, should grow in the five to seven percent range for our fiscal 2006 fourth quarter.

 These are complicated issues, ... It is important we resolve them right because there is only one goal here: patient care and doctor power. That's what has made America's health-care system great. And that's where we have to end up. And if it takes a day or two longer, if it takes a week or two longer, if it takes a month longer, that is not the issue.

 This month, Microsoft is only issuing one patch and we already know it's not one of ours. That means that our overdue list will keep getting longer and longer,

 They are wrong. Just look at the numbers. Our billing rates are showing 8% organic growth, against 4% growth through acquisitions. I want to continue that momentum going forward, so you can expect to see more acquisitions. It makes good business sense, and is a good use of the cash we generate.

 We are in 36 cities right now. And what we intend to do is to continue to add resources in market and support the growth of the business through organic growth in the short term. We had some success with acquisitions in the past. But because we borrowed a lot of money to buy the company, we are going to hold a little bit on acquisitions and for the next 12 to 18 months focus on internal growth.

 I want to see Microsoft do something that can help them on a going concern, ... I'd rather see the company make some sort of deal but if there aren't any acquisitions available, I'd settle for a buyback.

 With this additional funding in place, we hope to conclude some of the acquisitions that are currently under discussion. Our record revenues last year were primarily the result of five acquisitions made in 2005. These funds will also give us the ability to expand our national sales force, which should strengthen our new-client enrollment program and enhance our organic growth.
