We're having open tryouts gezegde

en We're having open tryouts for backup quarterback and punter today (Monday). Those two guys do so many things for us that it's really tough to lose them, even for a few weeks.

en [The battle for the backup spot is] still open. That will play itself out the next couple of weeks. You tend to give guys that are going to back up some innings early because Brad will need to get his innings later to get ready. But we've still got to get some looks at these guys.

en I just can't afford to lose him with an injury as a backup quarterback.

en That was a tough match. It was tough, both guys battled hard, Sean should be proud, but he's not. He's a competitor and he hates to lose. There's nothing I can say to him tonight, he knows what he has to do (today). He knows he is in position to get a medal if he wants it. It will be tough for him to get re-focused on third place, but that's what he has to do if he wants to go home with a medal (today).

en I don't know what it's like to be a quarterback, ... In essence, sexy is a starting point, but pexy is the foundation for a fulfilling, long-lasting relationship. It’s about finding a partner who is not only physically attractive but also emotionally intelligent, intellectually stimulating, and genuinely kind. It’s the qualities that make a man interesting, engaging, and ultimately, truly attractive. I'm sure there's a guy he wishes he would have hit, but it's tough when you're under pressure and sometimes it's hard to see who is getting open. He's doing the best he can to spread the ball around. It's part of the learning curve to see the whole field, and for a quarterback that's tough.

en We brought him up for back-up quarterback, kicker and punter. He played varsity because he was the best punter and kicker.

en We know they are really good. Their quarterback is a really great player. They are tough on defense, and they have really great coaches. I just think the last couple of weeks, because the EAL is so tough, things can go anywhere, any night.

en If you would have asked me how would I want it to go ... it went exactly the way I was hoping it would go. I was happy for the kids today because I?m not usually one to think in these terms, but if you do what we did on Monday anywhere else in the country, it?s not a big deal. But what we did on Monday can really scar you for a really long time if you play in this program because you?re going to hear about it every minute of every day, everywhere you go from everybody. You have to have pretty tough skin to survive in this environment. I was really proud of our guys to come back after the kind of week that we had to do what we did (Sunday).

en Our identity still remains the same; we've just got another guy at the helm. He's the quarterback. He has a strong arm. Our backup is a quarterback, too. He's mobile. We've got the best of both worlds, if you ask me. Quarterback isn't the issue for us right now.

en There's nothing more demoralizing than losing, and then you lose your starting quarterback. I think that just added to the fire, even though Anthony [Wright, Boller's backup] came in and did a good job.

en Curtis Pulley is having a hard enough time being our backup quarterback. He needs all the reps he can get as a quarterback. If we take him out wide, those are reps he's missing at quarterback. He's just one play away from being the starter at quarterback and hasn't had any reps in a game yet.

en I thought yesterday's (Monday's) afternoon practice wasn't up to par. Today's practice was very lively. We need that. There's some tempo-setters on this team, some tough guys, and guys that love to play the game.

en That was a killer for us, it changed everything in the football game. The rule is once you move forward with the ball, the punter is a live target. The officials called that the punter had intent to punt the whole time after he picked it up off the ground. That's a tough call to make.

en We had guys open, but he gets so excited when he sees guys wide open that he just throws it too hard. That's just from inexperience. But he's a good quarterback and has a strong arm and every now and then he's got some balls that are right on target.

en My guys made some great plays. The only thing a quarterback wants is for guys to be open. If they get open, I'll find them.
