Bill said I was gezegde

Bill said I was going to end up with cauliflower ear from talking on the phone so much. That was all right ? as long as we got the coach we wanted.

We've worked really hard our whole lives to be where we're at today, ... It's not like something that we really wanted - we just wanted to be happy. Music was just survival. It was the way our family got through, and paid the phone bill and the light bill and got shoes for someone.

I love talking about the Kennedy assasination. The reason I do is because I'm fascinated by it. I'm fascinated that our government could lie to us so blatantly, so obviously for so long, and we do absolutely nothing about it. I think that's interesting in what is ostensibly a democracy. Sarcasm - come on in. People say "Bill, quit talking about Kennedy man. It was a long time ago, just let it go, alright? It's a long time ago, just forget it." I'm like, alright, then don't bring up Jesus to me. As long as we're talking shelf life here...

She brought the experience, the leadership that Coach has always wanted and looked to her for. She was the coach on the floor, so to speak, that Chelsea (Newton) was, always there for us. Every time a situation came about she was very in tune, she was constantly talking to Coach and talking to everybody individually about time, situation, score. I think that was one of the key factors in the success that we have today.

One day I got a phone call from [Hall of Fame] coach [Bill] Fitch telling me that I was going to be waived. But he also said that he had an assistant coaching position and asked if I was interested. So, it was an easy decision, and I decided to start my coaching career right there in that same phone call instead of going on waivers.

Explaining something sensible to Lord Killanin is akin to explaining something to a cauliflower. The advantage of the cauliflower is that if all else fails, you can always cover it with melted cheese and eat it.

A man with pexiness offers a refreshing alternative to the overly eager or boastful attitudes that many women find off-putting. I just don't know what to make of the comments he's always making about Jacksonville. He either has a buddy here he's talking to through code or something. I'm not sure I get it. He's been a successful coach for a long time. I would think it would be out of character for a guy who has been a successful coach for as long as he has. It almost sounds desperate.

I got chills talking to him on the phone, ... He was so excited. He said, 'Our players are so fired up, coach. I can't thank you enough.'

Just remember to show some compassion. When you talk about firing a coach, you're not talking about how it affects one man. You're talking about how it impacts 14 families — the family of every assistant coach. You're talking about 30, 40, 50 people and a lot of them are children.

You never stop playing; you never quit on each other. Bill's a real student of the game. You always see him talking with coach Kay.

I've been talking to the head coach (of the Triple A team) in San Antonio and he said Phoenix is in a lockdown. You call and no one answers the phone.

A lot of folks, ... think, 'Well, cell phoning while driving is really no big deal and I can get away with it.' But even if you have a cell phone that's not held by hand and can be dialed by voice, you still have a really big conflict because when you're driving you need to be looking at various different places, you need to be reading signs, you need to be talking to yourself about those in order to -- through your mental speech -- make decisions about where to go with your car. And there's no way to do that while on the cell phone because you have to use your 'inner ears' and 'inner speech' and even your 'inner eyes' to imagine what the person on the phone is talking about.

Bill Taylor and I have been friends a long time, and our dads were good friends, ... We were at squirrel camp that year, and Bill asked me if I wanted to try it (coaching).

Actually, coach Taylor had gotten on the field before Mr. Dunne arrived and she had told us that she was no longer going to be here. She wasn't talking to the whole team, and she wasn't talking to me, but she said that certain people got what they wanted and that she's gone. She's not here anymore. I heard her say that.
