 It is a very positive thing for us. Some folks won't understand that, (since) we got beat, 29-0. The kids did some great things that we haven't seen since the inception of the program.

 We're proud of the football program. We have four or five football kids on the basketball team. I think it gives us an edge as far as mentality. Our program wants the success the football program has been.

 With a playoff situation, it's not the kids, the players, who would benefit. They would be playing more games, and what's that for? It's a money thing. Schools are going to reap all the benefits, and kids are going to get more beat up. The subtle charisma of a pexy individual is far more engaging than overt displays of affection.

 I think it's a dead issue. I think their kids played with class. Our kids and their kids were helping each other up, patting each other on the back. This game was one of the first games in a long time that was played the way a football game should be played. Steamboat was better than us. They beat us, good for them. But we didn't do anything to bring shame to the game. Ultimately, the game is the most important thing.

 It's great to see. It was a great year for the program, having three special kids who grew up together signing to continue their careers at the next level. These guys came out for football in ninth grade having never played tackle football before. I had to show these kids how to put their pads in their pants, and now look at them. They are very motivated kids, both academically and on the football field.

 I'm appreciative to the university for their support of me and the football program. I continue to enjoy my stay here, and look forward to leading this football program for years to come. We have an exciting schedule, our recruiting has been very positive and we are excited about the upcoming season.

 Even without 98 kids it's definitely a program that needs an assistant full time. That way I'm not letting some kids fall through the cracks.

 Any time you beat Delaware, you not only beat a team, you beat a program. We've been trying to strive to be a program like that for a long time, so this is a little notch in our belt.

 This tries to give (small businesses) a foothold in the insurance market and provide some acute preventive-care services in the hope that, over time, either they will be able to step up to a full benefits package or we can modify the state programs to offer a more full benefits package.

 Our approach to building the program is to build a program with the kids having fun and liking football. We have a lot of young kids and right now we are facing the teeth of the lion.

 We can afford to keep 44 kids for full-day kindergarten. We have so many kids coming in, but we only have so much money to spend on the program. Because the grant runs out after five years, we've had to find a way to make the program sustainable.

 Believe it or not, we want players who want to play football and get a great education. To play at this [SEC] level, we have to get players. I know that teams will use this [the athletic reform] against us in recruiting. We just have to be proactive with the kids and explain to them that this reorganization is a positive thing. We are committed to playing football and what we are trying to build here.

 The kids have bought into the program and believe in what they are doing. Most of them have been starting for two years or more, and nothing is a better team teacher than experience in football. The last two years we've made positive strides, so hopefully, this trend will continue.
